LIVE: M2 bridge closed, all trains cancelled and trees down during ... (Kent Online)

After a lorry overturned in high winds as Storm Eunice sweeps in, the M2 has been closed and all trains cancelled - live updates for north Kent.

A statement on the leisure centre websites said: "Due to severe weather warnings the centres will be closed today between 10am and 3pm. "Our PCR testing sites are temporarily closed and the walk-in vaccine buses will not be operating. Traffic will be severely affected and the QEII Bridge at the Dartford Crossing was closed from 5am with 60-minute delays anti-clockwise as motorists are diverted through the eastern tunnel. Customers can contact the box office for either a refund or arrange to attend another performance. "The tenants told me that they heard a rumbling sound and then the wall collapsed. They've been using it as a temporary area for the ambulances. "It has not hit our car or hurt anybody. It has literally snapped in half. For the bigger picture across Kent follow updates here. "There is an old willow tree near my car. "Wind speeds will continue to be monitored and the bridge will be reopened when it is safe to do so." The owner of a house "blown apart" in Chatham has spoken at her disbelief at seeing the damage.

'He was a doting dad and loving family man' (Kent Online)

The mother of a missing man who has now been found dead has paid a moving tribute to him.

"I want to thank everyone that shared the posts. Mr Holland had hired a car while his own vehicle was in for repairs. Kent Search and Rescue was also called in. "But I do know it's him. Last night a posting on the Facebook page said: "It was confirmed that a body was found and it was Alex. He loved all his family."
