Arthur Okonkwo was called into action to deny the visitors from taking the lead, getting down low to turn a header past the post after a dangerous in-swinging corner.

Arsenal's next two contract decisions have been made even easier ... (Football.London)

Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah's Arsenal contracts expire at the end of the season, although Mikel Arteta has revealed there's a chance one could ...

"That's what we are going to do. Which teams do you have a soft spot for? "Starting those conversations right now, I don’t think is the right way. So keeping the Lacazette on for a further 12 months could be a wise decision by the Gunners, but only as long as he replaces Nketiah as the back-up option to a new striker next season. "There is a chance (Lacazette signs a new deal), but we have decisions to make on three or four players in regards to the summer," Arteta told reporters. It's no secret that the Frenchman's five-year Arsenal deal - which he signed in the summer of 2017 upon his arrival from Lyon - expires at the end of the season and he has been free to talk with clubs outside of the Premier League since January with regards to signing a pre-contract agreement.

Alexandre Lacazette's deflected effort in the 95th MINUTE produces ... (Daily Mail)

ARSENAL 2-1 WOLVES - MATT BARLOW AT THE EMIRATES STADIUM: Arsenal staged a dramatic late comeback to beat Wolverhampton Wanderers on Thursday night.

A really positive start from Arsenal and Saka tries to tee up Martinelli in the box. Arsenal get the ball forward now and Saka feeds Lacazette just outside the box. Lacazette takes a touch before shanking it high and wide on the turn. He tries to finish into the far corner but drags his shot just wide. They're certainly knocking on the door. It stings the palms of Sa. Jimenez sprang high above Ben White to connect with a Podence cross from the right, only for his header to flash wide. The same went for Wolves defender Max Kilman, who emerged from the tunnel pointing to the skies with both hands and muttering a prayer, his thoughts undoubtedly with family in Ukraine. Lage cursed his team's inability to score the second. Confusion as Wolves go to make a substitution. Arsenal found some rhythm, midway through the first half, and started to threaten going forward. Alexandre the late!

“The project and the phases that we proposed, they are happening and there are a lot positives but we are not there." "I am happy with the direction we’re taking, but I’m not happy with where we are that is for sure because we want to be competing and challenging with the best teams in this league in consecutive seasons. And now would be the perfect time for Arsenal to commit him to a new deal.

Arsenal maintain top-four push thanks to late Wolves own goal (Harwich and Manningtree Standard)

Arsenal kept their Premier League top-four push moving in the right direction as a last-gasp Jose Sa own goal saw them come from behind to beat Wolves.

One of those was the sending off of Gabriel Martinelli in the reverse fixture just a fortnight ago and, with the forward returning from his ban here, he was soon embroiled in more controversy. The rest of the first half saw everyone involved with Arsenal become more and more frustrated and a smattering of jeers met the half-time whistle. Club-record signing Nicolas Pepe levelled with a smart turn and finish just 11 minutes after he came off the bench, but it was Sa’s unfortunate glove which completed a comeback for Mikel Arteta’s side – who now sit just a point behind fourth-placed Manchester United with two games in hand.

Arsenal seemed on course for another frustrating night at the Emirates, but Mikel Arteta managed to overhaul the Gunners' struggles against Bruno Lage's ...

Pepe is Arsenal’s record signing and would surely not have envisaged being reduced to a mere super substitute when he initially arrived into the Emirates Stadium from Lille. It is an expensive and difficult luxury all managers in world football strive, but so rarely achieve. Nketiah with the assist and Pepe with the vital goal, his first of the season, and perhaps one of the most important of Arsenal’s top four challenge.

Arsenal snatch late Wolves win: Five things we learned as Gunners secure dramatic victory · ARSENAL came back from behind to secure a dramatic 2-1 victory ...

Wolves have been a breath of fresh air to the race for the top four this season. Wolves are not the only team guilty of intentionally running the clock down and their supporters would, quite rightly, point to Arsenal’s time-wasting antics in the reverse fixture earlier in the season. However, their time-wasting antics seemed to begin on the 27th minute when Jose Sa dithered on the ball in the build-up to a free kick. However, the Gunners still lack the ruthlessness in front of goal to really toil with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City. And just when the Gunners seemed to have rescued a point, Arsenal went on to steal all three in the dying seconds, as Lacazette glided down the left-hand side of the Wolves defence and struck an effort which squirmed through Jose Sa's hand The Gunners pushed and probed with the silky feet of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Martin Odegaard, but found the route to goal blocked by a resolute yellow wall.
