Gamers hoping to catch or transfer over their favorite Pokemon from prior titles may be disappointed when Pokemon Scarlet and Violet launch.
It may not surprise fans that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet may not let players find and catch every single Pokemon ever added to the series in a single game. Of course, with an ever-increasing roster of Pokemon, it's likely not the easiest thing to incorporate every single pocket monster while also assuring that gameplay is fair and balanced. Fine print alluding to this was discovered on the official Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Japanese website.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet release date ... The first trailer for the twin games ends with the information that they'll be arriving in late 2022, which we would ...
It's a really nice set of starters from a design perspective, in our opinion, with simpler and purer designs than recent generations have brought to the table, so we're hoping they're a sign of things to come from other new monsters. The two games have both been announced for Nintendo Switch, and will completely exclusive to that platform, which is no surprise at all, given the history of the franchise on Nintendo's machines. It's not too often that you get more than one proper Pokémon release in a calendar year, after all.
While virtually every gamer predicted that Nintendo and Game Freak would unleash spectacular announcements during Pokémon Day (February 27th), ...
A prevalent theory among Pokémon fans is that Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly are based on the Iberian lynx, a pepper/crocodile, and a duck sailor, respectively. Likewise, Empoleon is the series’ sole Water/Steel-type, and Torterra is the only Grass/Ground-type Pokémon. Since this franchise still has so many type combinations that either remain unexplored or relatively scarce, why not let Pokémon Scarlet and Violet offer some of those combos through its starters? Pokémon is also full of dual-typings that Sprigatito and Quaxly could utilize. Quaxly could also evolve into a variety of unusual elemental combinations, especially if they take advantage of the Pokémon’s apparent sailor theme. Pokémon X and Y took a break with Delphox, a Fire/Psychic-type, but when gamers caught word that Litten’s final evolution would be the wrestler-themed Incineroar, they feared yet another Fire/Fighting-type. Gamers breathed a sigh of relief when Incineroar turned out to be Fire/Dark, but that fear has resurfaced in the case of Fuecoco, who many dread will end up being yet another Fire/Fighting Pokémon. Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire started that infamous trend with Torchic (which eventually evolves into the Fire/Fighting Blaziken). The next game featured Chimchar, which evolves into Infernape: another Fire/Fighting-type. After that came Tepig and its final evolution Emboar: yet another Fire/Fighting starter. Some have even made a strong argument that the Grass, Fire, and Water-type starters draw from extinct creatures, Chinese Zodiac animals, and weapons, respectively. While the Iberian lynx is certainly endangered, it isn’t extinct, and crocodiles are nowhere on the Chinese Zodiac chart. Fennekin and Litten are the unfortunate faces of this trend, as even though those Pokémon start on four legs, their final evolutions, Delphox and Incineroar, stand up straight on two. According to a popular fan theory, though, each elemental line of starters is based on a different, franchise-wide theme, which raises the questions regarding whether Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly will abandon that unofficial trend. Pokémon come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes. While virtually every gamer predicted that Nintendo and Game Freak would unleash spectacular announcements during Pokémon Day (February 27th), nobody expected the companies to reveal a new mainline Pokémon game.

There's a new Pokémon game, which means there are also new Trainers in addition to new starters. Whenever a new entry is announced, there's always a split ...
However, the eyes for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s Trainers are more rounded. Online, fans have called the designs “ugly” and even “too realistic.” Which surely seems a bit of an overreaction? Whenever a new entry is announced, there’s always a split between those who think they’re great, and those who find them wanting.
The ninth generation of Pokémon was announced yesterday, and here we break down the three new starters.
Quaxly's hat and stance gives the appearance of a matador, which suggests water and fighting as the final type. The Japanese description is a pun, leading fans to believe it's based on a type of small duck with blue feet called the Eurasian Teal. It is described as "The earnest and tidy Duckling Pokémon." Particularly to the dragons featured in Puzzle Bobble. This of course suggests the final evolution could be fire and dragon typing. With the desert featuring in the trailer it could also hint to a grass, and ground or rock dual type. The 'oha' part also has the same sound as 'hoja' the Spanish for leaf. The Japanese Nyaoha also has a Spanish root, mixing 'nya' the Japanese for meow, with 'oha' small leaf.
