Ramy Abbas Issa, who represents Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah, sent out his tweet on Friday after Jurgen Klopp's pre-match press conference ended.
We won’t be held to ransom … salah has been/ is world class for us but we aren’t in a position to pay wages like utd real or psg. I know who wouldn't be my agent if i was Mo Salah!!!!— 🔴𝕬𝖓𝖓𝖎𝖊'𝖘 𝕬𝖓𝖋𝖎𝖊𝖑𝖉🔴 (@AnnieHarte21) March 11, 2022 You're supposed to be a professional business man who's looking after one of the best players in the world. Accept the terms of LFC or leave.— Ted Muco (@TedMuco) March 11, 2022 One fan responded to the tweet: “Yo, dude, we all would love to see Salah extend his contract with Liverpool, but if you’re laughing and mocking Klopp, then it’s time we cut ties, man. Dont try to bring the funny side on the table.
Liverpool are entering the business end of what is poised to be a successful season. The players need nothing except football to focus on.
During the interview, Klopp was questioned about the contract situation. There is a large set of Liverpool fans that believe Mo Salah deserves every penny for his outstanding and record-breaking contributions at Liverpool, while some now believe that the club should cash in and look at the future without breaking their wage structure. Arch Rivals United? Chelsea, who as a club have a rough future, Arsenal? Tottenham? Manchester City under Pep where no one is guaranteed a starting spot? Who is he going to play for? It is surely a field day for the media and fans. It’s in their hands.
The agent of Mo Salah has posted a string of laughter emojis after Jurgen Klopp claimed that the ball is now in the Egyptian's court in relation to contract ...
“Mo definitely expects this club to be ambitious, we were in the last few years, and we are. It is all fine from my point of view. Mo is giving absolutely everything to the club.
Liverpool contract talks with Mohamed Salah have 'broken down' since September & ...
I love the fans. “I want to stay, but it's not in my hands. I know the club very well. "We were in the last years and we are. “They know what I want. It's all fine, from my point of view it's exactly like it should be in this moment in time.
The nerves continue to rage on for Liverpool fans, as they anxiously await news of a contract renewal for Mo Salah. The Egyptian superstar has yet to put ...
Does he want to be an absolute idol and icon at Liverpool forever, and stay there and fall in line with the pay structure? Salah has played a massive role in this season's success, and it would be a major disappointment to see him leave Anfield this summer. I don't think Liverpool are going to change their structure. There has to be a line. Given his incredible form over the past few years, Mo Salah has every right to demand wages in line with the very best players in the world. It's up to Mo Salah - what does he want?
Liverpool fans, understandably, would love to keep Mo at the club. But his days are probably numbered.
In the meantime, Mo will likely continue climbing the chart of all-time great Liverpool goal scorers. Salah gets a mega deal, signing for £400-600 million per week, according to the rumors on Twitter. And the Liverpool do not break their wage structure, especially for a striker who will be 31 when the current deal ends. In the end, Barcelona had to let Lionel Messi—arguably the greatest player ever to lace up his boots—leave on a free. They allowed Gini to go on a free, once again, not to break their wage structure. They allowed Emre Can to go on a free instead of breaking their policy on release clauses. No business wants to be held to ransom, and no employee wants to work for less than their worth. He’ll likely take home a few more pieces of individual and—Fowler willing—team honors in the process. Because it’s not just about Mo. It’s about every other current and perspective signing going forward. In short, my feeling is that if Liverpool and Salah really wanted to get this deal done, it would already be done. Salah will go down as a Liverpool legend, no doubt. Instead, it is much more likely that both the player and club are acting in their own best interest, which sadly precludes coming to terms on a new deal. Or at least thousands of angry tweets and hot takes.
