Taylor Hawkins, the longtime drummer for alternative rock gods Foo Fighters, has died at the age of 50. No immediate cause of death was released.
Throughout his tenure with the Foo Fighters, Hawkins was often viewed as the right-hand man to Dave Grohl, often playing his foil in music videos, promotional appearances, and in the recent horror-comedy Studio 666. Hawkins released his lone solo release, the EP Kota, in 2016. Hawkins remained as the bandโs drummer for the next 27 years.
