Clark Gregg joins cast of Snowpiercer season 4 (The Digital Fix)

Clark Gregg, who played Phil Coulson in the MCU, has joined the cast of the upcoming fourth season of the Netflix series Snowpiercer.

For a story set in just one location, it’s incredible what has been achieved already, so it will be fascinating to see where Snowpiercer goes next. Snowpiercer is a post-apocalyptic story of survival in a world which is heavily biased according to an individual’s social status. Well, after being picked up by streaming service Netflix, the show is well and truly thriving, and it just added a familiar face to its cast for the forthcoming season in the form of Clark Gregg.

Snowpiercer Ending Explained: Biggest WTF and Burning ... (IGN)

This post contains spoilers for the Snowpiercer Season 3 finale. In some respects, the passengers of Snowpiercer have come a long way since the days of the ...

It would be arrogant to think that the 3,000 or so Snowpiercer passengers are the only survivors on THE planet, and the discovery of Asha (Archie Panjabi) at the end of the Season 3 premiere in a nuclear reactor beneath the ground proves there might be others. After some very big bumps and losses (Ruth’s terrible track record continues), it appears that love is alive and well on both Snowpiercer and in the New Eden community. Melanie spoke to Alex in her dreams and as a figment of her waking imagination and they have done something similar with Wilford in the past. After failing to convince us that Melanie had perished after Wilford left her stranded to die at the end of Season 2, it makes sense to try something less ambiguous. While imprisoned in the library — the Snowpiercer detention area is rather lavish — he poisoned his guards and escaped. One fact worth remembering is there was a war in that region when the climate crash happened, which was mentioned in passing by Ruth (Alison Wright) in Episode 3. It turns out Layton’s theory is right and after a very precarious ride over a rickety old bridge, the passengers get off the train for the first time in over seven years. The path to something close to Utopia is not easy, particularly in a post-apocalyptic scenario. Not only do they get to experience the sun on their faces but a nearby lake is far from frozen. It is a choice between the unknown of New Eden versus the relative safety of Snowpiercer — although the train and the tracks are slowly falling apart — and another violent battle is on the horizon. Luckily, the train is capable of doing both and Team Layton takes the Big Alice locomotive into unchartered territory. Those who want to stay on board Snowpiercer can do just that, and the same goes for the New Eden leap of faith.

Snowpiercer season 4 potential release date, cast, plot and ... (digitalspy.com)

Snowpiercer spoilers follow. Like that titular train, Snowpiercer hurtles forward with a fourth season that's already been confirmed by the American network ...

But when it does arrive, just know that Digital Spy will be on hand to reveal the first look at Snowpiercer season four. Snowpiercer has already added two new cast members to season four: Agents of SHIELD's Clark Gregg and The Americans star Michael Aronov. Will one of them fill that villainous gap left by Mr Wilford's absence? And we wouldn't be surprised if Wilford is caught up in all this somehow too. Despite the early renewal, there's no official release date for Snowpiercer's next season just yet. "We have an exciting fourth season planned," he continued. Which would be a shame, of course, but it's not all bad news.

'Snowpiercer' Season 3 Finale: Fans React to Game-Changing Ending (TV Insider)

Did the train reach New Eden after all? Here, fans weigh in on the intense climax.

I’m so glad that life off of the train is finally coming to fruition and it didn’t even take a decade. And the gamble paid off: New Eden was warm enough for people to get off the train. Wilford will now slip in and out of consciousness to stay alive as he circles the globe on his own. Melanie and her supporters had control of the train’s engine while Layton — who apologized for his “dirty politics” and regained support — and his camp had control of the back half. Snowpiercer Season 3 Episode 10 was all about the fight for New Eden. Jennifer Connelly’s Melanie Cavill returned to the train to learn Andre Layton ( Daveed Diggs) had lied about the New Eden data. He did it in order to convince the passengers to vote to make the journey there, promising that the Horn of Africa could sustain life.
