WHATSAPP users have been placed on red alert about a dangerous new scam that targets message users by offering them free Cadbury Easter Eggs.

The scam message features an image of a purple Easter Egg with "Join the Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt" written across it. Look out for messages that contain the following, as these may indicate a contact is untrustworthy."
