He might not be the favourite but Cillian Murphy has, yet again, been linked with the 007 role.

Now that his time as Tommy Shelby on the Peaky Blinders television series appears to have come to an end, Cillian Murphy has yet again been linked with replacing Daniel Craig as the iconic MI6 secret agent, James Bond. Ladbrokes remarked on Monday afternoon that a run of money had forced the bookmakers to slash the odds of Murphy being the next bond from 25/1 to 10/1. Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page remains the bookies' favourite to replace Craig, whose final outing as 007 came in last year's No Time to Die. Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “Fans must be hoping that Cillian Murphy won’t be absent from our screens for too long as we have seen his odds of playing the next Bond slashed since the Peaky Blinders finale. Former Bridgerton heartthrob Regé-Jean Page remains the front-runner to clinch the role at 7/2, ahead of Henry Cavill at 4/1 and Aidan Turner at 7/1. With that, combined with a run of money, Ladbrokes has been forced to slash his odds on getting the role to 10/1 from 25/1.
