The Greater Manchester winner has £50,000 in Premium Bonds. They purchased the winning Bond, which has a value of £40,000, in September 2016. The first winning bond number is 281HY160082 belonging to a winner in Greater Manchester. NS&I has released the May prize draw results, with one of the jackpot winners scooping £1million with a winning bond which was purchased almost two decades ago.

A Premium Bonds holder from Greater Manchester and another from Wandsworth have scooped the life-changing £1m prize in May's draw.

There were 117 billion numbers eligible for the draw. This winner held £49,000 in Premium Bonds and bought the winning bond in June 2003. They held the maximum £50,000 Premium Bonds amount and bought the winning number in September 2016.
