Obi-Wan Kenobi hits Disney Plus on May 27, and a new trailer for the show gives us a look at new and returning characters, including Darth Vader, Owen Lars, ...
Obi-Wan Kenobi is set 10 years after the events of Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith, and will feature Obi-Wan’s former friend and future killer, Anakin Skywalker, whom we see pieced together as Darth Vader in yet another tease of the Sith Lord. (Last time, all we got was Vader breathing!) Hayden Christensen returns to reprise the role. Lucasfilm’s new trailer for Obi-Wan Kenobi offers a glimpse at some of the rest of the cast, including Kumail Nanjiani (who may also be a Jedi?) and Joel Edgerton as Owen Lars, who seems none too happy to see Kenobi show up and want to train a very young Luke Skywalker. Also, is that 4-LOM? Hey, buddy! A new trailer for Obi-Wan Kenobi, ol’ Ben’s stand-alone six-episode series coming to Disney Plus on May 27, doesn’t reveal too much more about the story of the in-hiding Jedi Master — but it does offer a glimpse at the intensity of the Empire’s hunt for one of the last remaining practitioners of the Force. Or is there another?
In it, we see Ewan McGregor's Obi-Wan trying to convince a reluctant Owen Lars (Joel Edgerton) to let him train a young Luke Skywalker. “Like you trained his ...
Unfortunately, despite Darth Maul being active at this point in the Star Wars timeline (yes, he was technically cut in half in Episode I but… At this point in the Star Wars story, the Empire is now in control of the galaxy and all remaining Jedi are now being hunted down and killed by Vader’s Inquisitors. These formidable antagonists are set to make their live-action debut in Kenobi after having previously appeared in various expanded universe stories. robot legs) then you’re going to be disappointed — series director Deborah Chow has confirmed he’s not set to appear.
There are surprising hidden messages in a wanted poster featured in the show's May the 4th teaser.
But this shows us that the Jedi’s foes do not want him killed by the rogues and scoundrels they are summoning to track him down. The Empire wants Kenobi returned. It simply has to be decoded from the Star Wars alphabet known as Aurebesh.
The poster shows Obi-Wan in his full Jedi road garb, bedecked with lightsaber, his frame translucent. His old friend and new nemesis, Darth Vader (aka Anakin ...
I’m very excited for McGregor to reprise his role and curious to see how Hayden Christensen does as Darth Vader, 17 years after The Revenge of the Sith. His old friend and new nemesis, Darth Vader (aka Anakin Skywalker) stands on a rocky plateau in miniature close to the Jedi’s heart—a bit of symbolism that should not be lost on viewers. The fact is, we’ve had enough of Tatooine and then some.
Ewan McGregor is seen as Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi, who is one of the last Jedis and is being hunted by every bounty hunter in the galaxy. Obi-Wan is also ...
'Jedi cannot help what they are, their compassion leaves a trail,' it is heard The series debuts on May 25. 'Jedi cannot help what they are, their compassion leaves a trail,' it is heard. The watchful Obi-Wan is heard saying, 'Stay hidden.' His twin sister Leia is located on another planet. Once in place, Vader's signature heavy breathing can be heard.
Disney Plus has released the Obi-Wan Kenobi official trailer starring Ewan McGregor on Star Wars Day itself and fans are buzzing.
But it was revealed there would be more in store for fans of the franchise on May 4, with it later confirmed a new trailer was on the way. But Star Wars fans have now been given a whole minute-and-a-half of footage ahead of the six new episodes. Star Wars fans were promised a treat for May the Fourth, aka Star Wars Day, and certainly have been given it, with a new Obi-Wan Kenobi trailer.
"Obi-Wan Kenobi" is back -- but, based on the new trailer for the Disney+ series, the droll Jedi master no longer has the high ground.
Who will end up voicing a comical droid? How will Ingram and Friend's villains stack up against Vader? And who will get to say, "I have a bad feeling about this?" Released on -- when else?
Kumail Nanjiani's Obi-Wan Kenobi role sees him join the series as a character unlike one we've ever seen before in the Star Wars franchise.
This is like a new version of a type of Star Wars character we’ve seen before. “And they’re like, “They want you to play a part in Obi-Wan, and apparently it’s substantial.’” And I was like, ‘OK, this is either amazing news or really awful news,’” he explained.
Obi-Wan Kenobi faces off against the Darth Vader, Inquisitors, bounty hunters, and stormtroopers in the latest trailer for the upcoming Star Wars series!
And here’s a shot of the Fifth Brother from the back. We get a first look at two new droids featured in the series. Above you can see some kind of battle droid shooting at stormtroopers in a cave. We even get a look at the actual bounty, and it’s nice to see Revenge of the Sith Obi-Wan again. Rupert Friend’s Grand Inquisitor was the subject of much debate when the first teaser dropped a few weeks back. Reva replies, “Maybe you’ve been looking in the wrong places,” at which point the trailer cuts to the shot above. He was first introduced in The Empire Strikes Back as one of the mercenaries hired by Darth Vader to hunt down Han Solo and the Millennium Falcon. Opening fire on the Inquisitors on their home turf seems like a really bad idea… Obi-Wan Kenobi will introduce a new kind of stormtrooper to live-action. In the first teaser, we saw Obi-Wan getting shot at from both sides during this gunfight. While the first teaser only featured the ominous sound of Vader’s breathing, this new trailer finally shows us the iconic villain in the flesh…or what’s left of it, anyway. Before we unpack all the teases and easter eggs, have a watch if you haven’t already:
It's Star Wars Day and Disney is treating us to what might be the final trailer for the Obi-Wan Kenobi original series. The six-part limited series drops ...
Here’s how you can watch the Star Wars films in the right order. However, it could be the former padawan learner and his master are brought together by fate again. The trailer closes with the our first look at Hayden Christensen respiring his role as Darth Vader. We see his robotic arm attached, and the power pack for the iconic suit attached.
Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen are back in the galaxy far, far away for the Disney+ streaming series. Watch the trailer at Empire.
The series, directed by Deborah Chow (who also helmed several episodes of The Mandalorian, is set roughly a decade after the end of Revenge Of The Sith, and a decade prior to A New Hope – a point in time in which McGregor’s Obi-Wan is hiding out on the sands of Tattooine, and Vader is rising as the Empire assembles. Plus, Joel Edgerton is back as Uncle Owen, laying a brutal verbal smackdown on Obi-Wan as he offers to start training the young Luke Skywalker. As with last time, there’s not much plot given away here – but this is atmospheric, textured Star Wars. Hopefully the Force will be with this one. That’s both the sound of Darth Vader’s iconic inhalations firing up once more at the end of the second trailer for Obi-Wan Kenobi – and also the sound of millions of Star Wars fans anticipating not just the return of the titular Jedi Master, but the galaxy’s biggest bad too.

As seen in the new trailer, the hunt is on for the Jedi — and Obi-Wan in particular. The official trailer for Obi-Wan Kenobi has arrived in celebration of May the 4th, and it’s filled with new imagery and details from the upcoming limited series. Stormtroopers stalk the streets, and the Empire’s Jedi-hunting Inquisitors lead the charge. Obi-Wan Kenobi, starting May 27 on Disney+, follows Ewan McGregor’s legendary Jedi Master 10 years after the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. The Empire reigns and the few surviving Jedi are in hiding, with Kenobi living in secret on Tatooine and watching over Luke Skywalker from afar. These are the dark times, indeed. While Obi-Wan delivered a newborn Luke Skywalker to Owen Lars, the Tatooine moisture farmer — and stepbrother of Anakin Skywalker — seems to want nothing more to do with Kenobi. It’s a sentiment that draws a straight line to his concerns in Star Wars: A New Hope.

This fight is about the future of the galaxy itself. This fight is not about a broken man who has seemingly found himself surviving against a Dark Lord of the Sith. This is not about giving us a rematch to appease a crowd, not in terms of the story on its own terms anyhow. What follows is the information I was able to garner from interviews with cast and crew of Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi over the last year but primarily during principal photography.
Disney+ have landed a fuller trailer for Obi-Wan Kenobi, with the show set to premiere at the end of May. Plus, there's a gorgeous new poster.
Also in the cast are Kumail Nanjiani, Moses Ingram, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie. Although we do get to see his robotic limbs and hear a couple of tell-tale rasping breaths. While a teaser trailer whet the appetite back in March, it was light on the much-anticipated clash between Kenobi and his fallen former apprentice Anakin Skywalker, now Darth Vader.
Star War nerds will be happy to know that Disney+ just released its brand-new trailer for “Obi-Wan Kenobi” to kick off Star Wars Day (aka May the Fourth).

Darth Vader killed his only chance to learn of his secret son and Reva for all her evil deeds, died a little less than a villain. She has completed the mission the inquisitors have been in pursuit of for a decade. What follows is the information I was able to garner from interviews with cast and crew of Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi over the last year but primarily during principal photography. Kenobi is no more. The pieces seem to connect really well and I’m confident in the broad strokes. A new Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi trailer sees the Jedi on the run from hunters and face to face with his past.
In the new trailer, released to eager fans on May the Fourth (aka Star Wars Day) we get a glimpse of Anakin Skywalker as Darth Vader as played by Hayden Christensen for the first time in nearly two decades. We also get a brief glimpse of Anakin’s son, an obscure character known as Luke Skywalker, seen here as a little boy playing in the dirt. Obi-Wan Kenobi keeps things simple in a way that The Book Of Boba Fett did not.
