Rangers 2-0 RB Leipzig live as Glen Kamara doubles lead on the ... (Football Scotland)

Leipzig held a narrow 1-0 lead from the first leg but it's all set for another raucous European night at Ibrox.

I don;t know if it will be from the beginning, but there will be one moment when they press us and try to attack. They both worked really hard over the last couple of weeks to play in this game. Kemar unfortunately didn't make it but I'm happy that Aaron's back in the squad." There's a final we can get to, have no regrets and do it for Jimmy. They'll also have to be wary of leaving the back door open. I think back to 2008 and that night in Florence and I feel the same as I did then. I'm full of anticipation, excitement - everything. I'm going through every emotion. There could be a few, but I could easily just say do it for Jimmy. I know I don;t need to say much to the boys becasue they're a great group of lads. He'll be assessed but there's a chance he may not continue. They;re in their traditional Blue shirts, white shorts and black socks. Leipzig have had a couple of half chances and the hosts will need to keep it tight at the back, but you get the feeling there's another goal in this for them.

Jon Eimer locked in his UEFA Europa League 2022 best bets for RB Leipzig vs. Rangers on Paramount+.

For RB Leipzig vs. RB Leipzig held 71 percent of possession in the first matchup and has what many would view as the stronger overall side in this matchup but Rangers know that all bets would be off if it can find another early goal. Facing a 1-0 deficit as it headed home for the second leg of its quarterfinal matchup against Braga, Rangers captain James Tavernier found his way forward and scored a second-minute goal to level on aggregate. RB Leipzig picks from soccer insider Jon Eimer. He is a high-volume bettor who has vast knowledge of leagues and players across the globe. A draw is priced at +245 and the over-under for total goals scored is 2.5. Thursday's match will be streamed live on Paramount+ with their must-have Premium plan. Rangers overcame a 1-0 deficit in the quarterfinals against Braga and now will look to do the same against RB Leipzig, who is just two seasons removed from a Champions League semifinal appearance.

Rangers are a two-goal win over RB Leipzig away from reaching the Europa League final.

Defenders Willi Orban and Mohamed Simakan will likely be welcomed back into the back line, while all-action midfielder Kevin Kampl will add energy to Leipzig further up the pitch. Joe Aribo played as the central forward against Celtic, while Scott Wright and Ryan Kent played as a front duo in Leipzig, splitting wide when out of possession He did not confirm, one way or the other, whether they would be involved, noting the team had one final training session.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst will look to take his side to Seville and create history against the Bundesliga side.

Leipzig will be dangerous but there will be chances at both ends. It could be a wild one and go all the way to penalties. Few sides so far have been able to withstand that and with Rangers hoping to be boosted by the return of Kemar Roofe it could be a night to remember as they book a sunshine jaunt to Seville. With an emotional and packed Ibrox, this side can make it to Seville. This could be one of Rangers’ real glory nights. These players have plugged into the home crowd.

Rangers 3-1 RB Leipzig (agg 4-3): Europa League semi-final ... (The Guardian)

Minute-by-minute report: Rangers reached the final of the Europa League on an emotional night at Ibrox. Scott Murray was watching.

But the referee, much to the annoyance of everyone in the ground, isn’t interested. 44 min: Henrichs spins Barisic down the right and is just about to enter the Rangers box and shoot when he’s clipped from behind. 41 min: Another chance for Aribo to shoot, as he spins into space and strides down the inside-right channel. He’s got half a chance of finding Wright in the middle, but doesn’t spot the pass and runs off down a cul-de-sac. The ball comes back in from the other flank, and Sakala skims a header wide right from six yards. But Leipzig come again, and Laimer sashays into the Rangers area unchallenged, down the middle. All the staff, and all the fans. He finds Kent on the edge of the box. Rangers are back in the lead, and ten minutes plus stoppages away from the final! 83 min: Leipzig have responded to going behind in the tie by making a double change. They’re a phenomenal team, and the game changed momentum in the second half, but thankfully I’ve anticipated a knockdown and put it in the back of the net. The referee sends Leipzig away, and drops the ball for McGregor to pick up.

Rangers 3-1 RB Leipzig (Agg 3-2): Lundstram steered home the winner after James Tavernier and Glen Kamara had earlier scored for the Gers.

Gers keeper Allan McGregor made a great save from Konrad Laimer’s drive but moments later he had no chance when Angelino crossed from the left for Nkunku to volley in from 10 yards and the pendulum looked like it had swung towards the visitors. Trailing 1-0 from the first leg in Germany, and in the biggest game at Ibrox for 50 years, Light Blues skipper James Tavernier levelled the tie in the 18th minute with a close-range finish.

Rangers vs. RB Leipzig: Europa League final spot clinched as game ... (Sporting News AU)

Rangers have booked their ticket to the Europa League final in Seville, after a 3-2 aggregate win over RB Leipzig which saw Ibrox rocking.

Nobody in this famous old ground, which was shaking to its core from a half-hour before the first whistle to a half-hour after the last, will ever forget it. A precession of a Premiership campaign interspersed with utter embarrassments in the Champions League was at risk of becoming a never-ending cycle. Now, Rangers will be confident of winning only the second European trophy in club history, and the first in half a century. Until then, though, Rangers fans have a few more weeks riding this crest of a wave with their hopes and dreams. Putting the Europa League in the trophy cabinet could also arguably represent Scotland’s most impressive achievement on the continent, given the era Rangers are competing in. First came a smart ball round the corner to set up a rare golden opportunity for the visitors. The Nigeria international was Rangers’ top performer, but a couple who were close behind combined for the first strike. For the first hour, Leipzig couldn’t live with the reigning Scottish champions. He was part central midfielder and part left-back, epitomising the progression he’s made with Rangers over the past two years. The loss understandably changed the Rangers players’ preparation for the game, manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst admitted, but from the off it was clear the hosts would be creating a magical occasion in Bell’s honour, rather than be overawed by the occasion. Van Bronckhorst wanted his men to smell blood from the outset, and they did. Their campaign started in the Champions League group stage, going toe-to-toe with both Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain. Since Domenico Todesco arrived, only Bayern Munich have been better in Germany. Their quality is such that they have the luxury of casually bringing Dominik Szoboszlai off the bench.

Seville, a week on Wednesday, was back in the diary. Despite his cool exterior there was a feeling of resignation about Van Bronckhorst as his team began to wilt under the weight of Leipzig’s response. Giovanni van Bronckhorst was the calmest man in Ibrox. This is to a man Steven Gerrard’s squad but no longer his team. This altered dynamic had the crowd in a frenzy. The urgency actually slowed down Rangers since the ball was surrendered too frequently in haste. In 2022 RB Leipzig brought the heft to this semi-final tie, a £200m ensemble owned by a soft drinks magnate who spends more on his private Falcon jet each year than Rangers do on players.
