The actor bought the club with fellow actor Robert Mcelhenney for an estimated £2 million earlier this year. However, today they come up against a very different Wrexham, coined as 'Hollywood FC' following the purchase of the club by Ryan Reynolds.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney watched on as Wrexham lost their remarkable National League play-off semi-final to Grimsby 5-4 after extra-time.

Ryan Taylor dragged Grimsby level again, though, after 72 minutes, before Emmanuel Dieseruvwe headed home to put Grimsby 4-3 up. Luke Waterfall scored just after the break to put Grimsby ahead. John McAtee struck for Grimsby from outside the area to level the game.
