Rumours abound, with Harry Styles fans pointing to a gap in his tour schedule over Glastonbury weekend, and others have mooted whether Taylor Swift will put in an appearance, having been booked to headline the festival in 2020 before it was cancelled by Covid-19. Lorde will warm up for Kendrick Lamar on Sunday, with a stage show that has drawn admiring reviews, with Elbow playing between her and Diana Ross earlier in the afternoon. TV presenters Dermot O’Leary and Gok Wan each appear for small-scale DJ sets.

The punk-folk band will bring an anti-war message to the Pyramid Stage, just before Diana Ross plays.

Bands with mixed line-ups account for 14% of the performers, with male artists making up the remaining 50%. The festival has pledged to achieve a 50/50 gender balance, but only 36% of the acts on the five main stages are female. For years, the band have called themselves "ambassadors of free Ukraine" and punctuated concerts with cries of "Stop Putin!" and "No war!"

GLASTONBURY Festival has unveiled its full 2022 line-up featuring over 3000 performers across dozens of stages.

Sour singer and triple Grammy winner Olivia Rodrigo will take to the stage on Saturday afternoon alongside Glass Animals. The announcement also confirms that The Other Stage will be headlined by Foals (Friday night), Megan Thee Stallion (Saturday), and Pet Shop Boys (Sunday). New Zealand singer Lorde - who played The Other Stage in 2017 - and Elbow will take to main stage before Lamar.

Ukrainian folk quartet DakhaBrakha have joined this year's Glastonbury Pyramid Stage line-up and are set to deliver an anti-war message.

He continued: “We will make sure that one day the participants and guests of Eurovision will be hosted in Mariupol – free, peaceful, and restored! “Our courage impresses the world, our music conquers Europe!” he wrote in a Facebook post celebrating Ukraine’s win. However, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has since taken to social media to voice his hopes that the contest will be heading to his nation next May.
