James Rodger reviews Harry Styles at Radio 1 Big Weekend in Coventry, as the As It Was singer headlines War Memorial Park.
"Thank you so much for supporting me - whether it has been one year or 12 years," Harry told the crowd. But even if it’s a one-and-done affair for some in the crowd, Styles refuses to let you be a spectator: it’s floor-to-the-wall energy and we’re all coming along for the ride. and take that energy out into the world with you, do your best to treat people with kindness." If As It Was is the soundtrack of a post-pandemic celebration, then the tracks off 2019's Fine Line was the sound of pre-Covid groove: represented no better than in Watermelon Sugar, a stadium-sized anthem transformed into a magnetic festival moment. As somebody who lived in Coventry for the best part of a decade, seeing Harry Styles in War Memorial Park is not something you expect to happen. But Harry is omnipresent right now - a testament to his marketability, and, yes, perhaps the heft of the Sony machine - and it simply makes no use to fight it.

According to Sudeikis in his GQ profile, he didn’t even have clarity about the end of their relationship at that point yet. Despite much Twitter speculation, Wilde is not confirmed to be pregnant. “But I think what you realise is that when you’re really happy, it doesn’t matter what strangers think about you. Speaking to the Observer in 2007, she said: “My mother thought it was a good idea for me as well, so I could have my own identity outside of my family. “I’m happier than I’ve ever been. I had all these reasons - but what I didn’t foresee is that people would think of it as a sexy adjective. “I was just very, very busy with other things. Sudeikis had married screenwriter Kay Cannon in 2004, after having already been together for five years. In the caption, she wrote that Styles “infused every scene with a nuanced sense of humanity” and that he “jumped on board with humility and grace, and blew us away every day with his talent, warmth, and ability to drive backwards”. In July 2021, the two were photographed kissing and getting close on a boat in Italy, and in September 2021, Wilde was seen supporting Styles at the opening night of his Love on Tour show in Vegas. He said: “I’ll have a better understanding of why in a year and an even better one in two, and an even greater one in five, and it’ll go from being, you know, a book of my life to becoming a chapter to a paragraph to a line to a word to a doodle.” “At the time, I was doing The Importance of Being Earnest - I was playing Gwendolyn, and I was so in love with it.
Why is it that whenever Harry makes the news, Google searches for sexuality peak? No one should feel forced to label themselves, argues Georgia Aspinall. Harry ...
Let Harry be ambiguous if that’s where he is in his journey, it’s no one’s business but his own who he chooses to date. That’s not to suggest this is why Harry has kept his counsel – but to point out to those that argue he has no reason not to ‘come out’ that avoiding relentless abuse is also a valid reason to remain ambiguous. In his refusal to declare either way (despite the endless public commentary) he’s carving a path for all of those who either don’t want to answer, or might not be ready to. Some argue that a man in Harry’s position should declare either way for the greater good of queer people. He does all of this while still refusing to declare his sexuality – and for those like me who do the same, that reiterates that we needn't bow to pressure to check a certain box if we don’t feel comfortable doing so... So, to be honest, it’s quite funny watching the interaction play out when you refuse to answer in the way expected of you.
Harry Styles beats the one-week vinyl sales record previously held by Taylor Swift for 'Red (Taylor's Version)' in the US with his new album.
It’s the first time in 2022 that someone has scored a UK chart double. That amount surpasses the previous one-week vinyl sales record of 114,000 set by Swift. ‘Harry’s House’ also put up 189,000 streaming equivalent units, equalling 246.96 million on-demand track streams. ‘Harry’s House’ includes 330,000 in sales without streaming and individual track sales factored in.

Swedish DJ/producer DJ Seinfield steps away from his signature melancholic sound for his latest release ‘Lost Island’, a groovy and spirited number guaranteed to get the dance floor bouncing. Mancunian rapper Aitch’s ‘1989’ features the 22-year-old spitting on a beat sampled from The Stone Roses’ iconic anthem ‘Fools Gold.’ Happy Mondays frontman Shaun Ryder opens the track with an anecdote: “I’ve had loads of nights out involving drugs, sex, fucking – you name it. Taken from Rachel Chinouriri’s latest EP ‘Better Off Without’, ‘Happy Ending’ follows the indie singer-songwriter on her journey through the end of a relationship. Finding catharsis in confronting his emotions, Sim shared: “In recent years, I’ve become a firm believer that the best antidote to these feelings can be bringing them to the surface and shedding some light on them.” “Have seen this one going off in my sets for a minute now and I know it’s gonna mash up dance for the summer of jungle,” she shared when the track was released. The interview was a surprising move for the usually private Styles, with the star photographed in the country estate of renowned British designer John Pawson. Who knows, maybe the shoot was a taste of things to come and perhaps we'll see the star pick up his own rural retreat. Olivia confirmed that she was living between London and Los Angeles in an interview with Vogue in December 2021, but the exact location of this loved-up pair is uncertain. Hidden behind private gates, it was the perfect love nest for the new couple and boasts three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Additionally, Harry has access to a 71-foot swimming pool, a fitness centre and a Turkish bath in the complex, as well as a 5,000-square-foot roof terrace and a central courtyard. Harry was staying at the home, which is owned by his manager Jeff Azoff, while filming psychological thriller Don't Worry Darling, where he met Olivia, the film's director, on set. He ended up buying a penthouse in this prestigious apartment block for $8.7 million (£6.9m). Located in the Tribeca neighbourhood, the building is home to a whole host of celebrities including Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds and Justin Timberlake. There is also a home gym and gourmet commercial-grade kitchen elsewhere in the luxury home. Just weeks later he released his first solo album, Harry Styles. 2017 continued to be a big year for the star as he made his acting debut in Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk, which was only met with praise from critics. Harry Edward Styles was born on 1 February 1994 in the town of Redditch, in Worcestershire, UK. The family moved to Holmes Chapel in Cheshire, and when he was seven years old, his parents, Anne and Desmond divorced. Having spent time living in New York, Los Angeles and of course, his home country of England, Harry Styles has accumulated an incredible roster of jaw-dropping real estate throughout his career. However, when he wasn't singing, the budding star worked part-time in the local bakery to support himself and his dreams of stardom. Harry Styles’ latest release Harry’s House has been one of the fastest-selling albums of 2022 so far and unsurprisingly, the feeling of being at home is a big theme throughout the songs.
At the tender age of 16, Harry Styles struck fame when he and his fellow bandmates formed One Direction on the music competition show, X Factor.
The last track, “Love of My Life,” ends with a couple of piano notes. Fans discovered that when you reverse the video, it plays the last notes from this song; so, unbeknownst to his fans, Styles had shared the ending of “Harry’s House.” In the penultimate song, “Boyfriends,” Styles leaves an easter egg. As the album continues to play on, the songs get progressively sadder until they reach the bottom with “Matilda.” It’s a song filled with reassurance and comfort for those who had a tough time. The lyrics reveal how even though the “honeymoon” stage of the relationship has passed, he still wants to be with his lover. The title track, “Music For a Sushi Restaurant”, is definitely an unconventional song at first listen.
