"I'm not 100% fit but I'll play if I have to. Mbappe had a great opportunity to give France all three points with three minutes left, only for his attempt to rattle the crossbar. Mbappe, who came on as a substitute after the break, found the back of the net with a shot into the top corner seven minutes from time to cancel out Andreas Weimann's first-half opener.

Austria v France, Denmark v Croatia and more: Nations League – live! (The Guardian)

Clockwatch: France seek their first Nations League win of the campaign against Ralf Rangnick's side in Vienna – join Scott Murray for updates.

A short delay in Copenhagen as Denmark keeper Kasper Schmeichel spots a minor defect in the net of the goal he’s guarding in the first half. The first corner of the evening in Vienna is forced by Maximilian Wöber, who worms his way down the left with great purpose. Austria are struggling to get out of their own half at the minute. He aims for the top-right corner, only for his shot to be deflected out for a corner. A ball’s looped into the French box from the right. Once again, the Austrian keeper sticks up a strong arm to turn the ball out for a corner, from which nothing comes. He’s got time, and the whole of the goal to aim at ... but blazes over. Denmark have done most of the attacking, Croatia the lion’s share of the defending. He strides into the Austria box and lashes an unstoppable riser into the roof of the net. Meanwhile in Vienna, France debutant Ibrahima Konaté - who has scored a couple of big goals for Liverpool this season - heads harmlessly over the bar from a corner. The hosts are struggling to get out of their final third. He’s made a series of sensational saves this evening, and is surely Austria’s man of the match.

Kylian Mbappe climbs off bench to snatch Nations League draw for ... (Eurosport.com)

Andreas Weimann scored his first international goal but Austria were denied a win by a late goal from substitute Kylian Mbappe as France grabbed a 1-1 draw.

Benzema gets the rebound, but Pentz makes a second save before Wober clears the ball off the line. 37’ - GOAL! AUSTRIA 1-0 FRANCE! Weimann with the goal, and what a great team move that was! 83’ - GOAL! AUSTRIA 1-1 FRANCE! Mbappe gets an equaliser, and of course it's a counter attack! The free-kick is taken and Pentz makes the initial save. There seemed to be little understanding between the backline and the midfield, which allowed Austria to easily counter attack, especially in the first half. He may have only played 24 minutes, but France’s whole dynamic changed when he came on alongside Mbappe. He assisted France’s equaliser, had two key passes, and created one big chance, proving that this French side is better with him in it.

Austria 1-1 France: Mbappé earns holders late point (UEFA.com)

Kylian Mbappé's late equaliser rescued a point for France after Andreas Weimann had given Austria a first-half lead.

The four group winners in League A will advance to the knockout finals with, in principle, one appointed as hosts. Afterwards, it's the last match before the holidays — we can push a little." Kylian Mbappé is one of the best players in the world. we didn't take what we wanted before the match. In the second half, we were lacking power. France were able to put us under a lot of pressure but, until the equaliser, they did not have that many clear chances.

France Player Ratings vs Austria: 8/10 Mbappe saves the day;... (The Hard Tackle)

Kylian Mbappe's late strike helped France secure a draw away from Austria as their stuttering UEFA Nations League campaign continued.

Deschamps decided to keep his most lethal weapon on the bench, and unleashing Mpabbe salvaged a point, even though it was not the result he was hoping for. However, while he worked hard to get things going, the Austrian defence looked fairly comfortable containing his threat. Diaby was decent in patches but could not perform consistency during the game. Tchouameni had a decent outing, where he seemed to take more responsibilities with his midfield role. Unfortunately, the AC Milan defender never got going in the game and barely offered anything in the final third. Austria’s attackers identified his shortcomings and constantly targeted him as he proved to be France’s weak link. Pavard had a very good game compared to his fellow defenders, as the Bayern Munich man worked hard to get things going. The forward also came close to securing a dramatic late winner, only for Pentz to get a slight touch on his effort. Unfortunately, Lloris could not have possibly gotten anywhere near Weimann to stop the opening strike. France then fell behind shortly after the break as Konrad Laimer’s low cross was met by Andreas Weimann, who had a simple tap-in to execute and give Austria the lead. They have another game left against Croatia in this round of international fixtures, and France will look to make amends. Les Bleus remain without a win after three games in their group, and they could only manage a draw in their latest outing against Austria.
