Crookes has garnered a huge fan base, with an impressive 1.8 million monthly listeners on Spotify. This has increased a lot from her early career days when she was uploading covers to YouTube in the hopes of impressing viewers. The London singer-songwriter has evidently had lots of success since starting out in the industry in 2017 and was even recognised by the Brit Awards in 2020 when she was nominated for the ‘Rising Star’ award, along with artists like Celeste and Beabadoobee.
