Carlos Sainz claimed Formula 1 victory for the first time at the British Grand Prix, former team-mate Lando Norris joking it was "about time".

“It’s scary to watch especially in the middle of a race but shows how good the safety is and hopefully they’re back racing next week.” Naturally, the headline grabbing at Silverstone was done by the huge crash that played out at the start of the race, and the McLaren driver reflected on the incident in the press pen after the chequered flag: The British driver was obviously looking to secure a good result in front of a home crowd and started the race from sixth place.
