Norrie pretty much breaks himself, lashing a mid-court forehand into the tramlines for 15-30 before failing to elevate his shots above the net in the next two points. Once again Djokovic is his own worst enemy. Djokovic raises his arm aloft as he finishes off with a deft volley after his tweener lob outdid Norrie’s excellent effort with the same shot. Each error is greeted by a massive cheer. The Serb inexplicably lashes a high bouncing ball well out of court off the forehand to trail 15-30. DJOKOVIC 2-1 NORRIE Quite literally EVERYONE is waiting for Djokovic to turn up now. The British No.1 wobbles with a couple of double faults but also lands a pair of aces, with the second well-timed on his second set point. Djokovic has been far from his best and after a nervy start, Cam deservedly took a 32-minute opener. He responds with a rasping forehand up the line that sets up a knifed winner off the backhand. The No.9 seed continues to be brave and saves it with a blistering crosscourt forehand to make deuce. DJOKOVIC 2-6 2-1 NORRIE

Novak Djokovic vs Cameron Norrie LIVE: Wimbledon updates as ... (Daily Express)

NOVAK DJOKOVIC and Cam Norrie are facing off in the Wimbledon semi-final for a chance to play Nick Kyrgios for the title.

He sends a backhand wide on the first but with some clever play at the net, breaks to start his maiden Grand Slam semi-final against the defending champion. Djokovic goes 15-0 up with a big serve before he and Norrie trade unforced errors. Djokovic challenges a Norrie ball which Hawk-Eye shows well inside the lines and the Brit stays alive in the game, getting to deuce. But the unforced errors are back to get Norrie leading 15-30. But Norrie issued the perfect response, breaking Djokovic's serve in the opening game. There appear to be some nerves as he hits another double fault but he takes the set with a 124mph ace. And all of a sudden, Norrie finds himself facing break point as his drop shot attempt fails to make it over the net. Another break point for Djokovic though and the No 1 seed sends it long. And the top seed holds to lead 3-2, earning more games than he did in set one. It's Norrie's turn for a questionable challenge in this set, as he questions the top seed's ace but Hawk-Eye shows it inside the line. But Norrie isn't going down without a fight, saying he could beat Djokovic "for sure" when asked. The top seed is looking to win a 21st Grand Slam title at the All England Club this week while the British No 1 is playing in his first-ever Major final.
