The broadcaster and the Ibrox club have announced their long-running dispute has been put to one side.

"The BBC acknowledges that there have been occasions when parts of the coverage of Rangers FC have not met its editorial standards. The BBC said: "A disagreement between BBC Scotland and Rangers FC has limited the BBC's ability to report from Ibrox Stadium over a long period of time. However, it recognises that the club has genuine concerns about the accuracy and balance of some coverage.

It ends a long stand off between the two parties after a disagreement over certain elements of the Beeb's coverage.

However, it recognises that the club has genuine concerns about the accuracy and balance of some coverage. Access will now be granted for the beginning of the new SPFL season a week on Saturday. That led to a stand-off between the pair and meant BBC Scotland was unable to provide coverage from the Light Blues' stadium.

BBC have issued a public apology to Rangers for not meeting their editorial standards in the past and the two parties have agreed to resume their relationship.
