English Premier League (EPL) Matchday 2 Odds & Picks: Wolves vs ... (BettingPros)

Let's dig into the top odds and picks for Matchday 2 of the English Premier League (EPL): Saturday's match between Wolves vs. Fulham.

Despite having the luxury of playing at home this week, the Wolves did little in their opening week to inspire confidence they can take advantage. In their 1-2 defeat on the road at Leeds, the Wolves didn’t have much in the way of a formidable attack against a team in Leeds that was all but asking for it. Led by Aleksandar Mitrovic, who scored in the match, Fulham has already shown they are going to be a problem this year and will look to take another step forward this season after earning their promotion in the spring.

FULHAM take on Wolves this having come tantalisingly close to shocking Liverpool in their season opener.Mo Salah denied Aleksandr Mitrovic's double fr.

He stressed that goals would flow and on the evidence of the entertaining performance against the Cottagers there is every reason for him to have been so upbeat. Yet even this early in the season a Fulham win would have been seen as one of the great smash-and-grab acts of the whole campaign. Had Sa not reacted so brilliantly in clawing away that 81st-minute spot-kick Mitrovic would have been able to laugh in the face of those who saw he can’t handle life in the much brighter lights of the top flight.

Wolves player ratings as Jose Sa saves the day and Pedro Neto ... (Birmingham Live)

Wolves player ratings versus Fulham as Bruno Lage's side somehow fail to win at Molinuex and are instead left thanking goalkeeper Jose Sa for even ending up ...

The mere threat in behind forced a Fulham mistake as Tosin collided with Rodak with Neto lurking but Neto taking a touch to control the bouncing ball allowed Ream to come across and close the angle. Showed no signs of struggling with the physicality after, perhaps naively, leaving Ream in a heap after being baited into fouling the defender from behind as the two went up for a high ball. Held up the ball well with his chest well after finding himself in the centre-forward position deep into added-time. Dropped off the front to link play and open up space for Neto to exploit in behind in the opening exchanges. Got into it and went head to head with Mitrovic after being on the recieving end of a late tackle that saw both enter the book, but count themselves lucky to not see red, especially the Fulham man, who has form for it. Should've had a goal at the back minutes into the second half but could only turn Ait-Nouri's cross over the bar on the stretch after Hwang hadn't made any connection at the near post. Won the ball back well to provide a solid base throughout. Left in a heap going forward in a potential penalty shout before being understandably replaced by Semedo in the second-half. Defensively, dealt well with Mitrovic on the whole but was caught out by the striker's physicallity on occasion in what will be one of the toughest matchups of the season for Wolves' new recruit. Was able to stretch his legs in the middle after beating out Mitrovic but couldn't find the final pass after an imposing run. One week on from converting from the spot against Liverpool, Aleksandar Mitrovic was denied by Jose Sa in the first real save of note that the Wolves 'keeper had to make all afternoon. Rodak and Tosin had other ideas though and collided to leave Neto with the sight of the goal gaping but a perhaps unneccesary touch to control an awkwardly bouncing ball allowed Tim Ream to come across and close the angle.

Wolves: Tim Spiers hails Morgan Gibbs-White vs Fulham (The Transfer Tavern)

Wolves drew 0-0 at home to Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon but journalist Tim Spiers hailed Morgan Gibbs-White's display.

Not quite clicking for him in the opposition third yet today but his commitment is terrific.” In truth, it wasn’t a classic Premier League encounter, with both sides toiling in the final third throughout and quality few and far between for long periods. At 22, the future is so bright for the Wanderers man, so the hope is that he ignores interest from several Premier League teams, including Nottingham Forest and Everton.

Fulham striker Mitrovic, who scored twice against Liverpool, was quiet for most of the game and cut an isolated figure up front. The ball fell to Podence, who struck it across goal in another huge let-off for Fulham. Morgan Gibbs-White came closest in the second half but could only turn over a low cross from Ait-Nouri after Hwang was unable to connect at the near post.
