Boro vs Sheff Utd - Live match updates from the Riverside (Teesside Live)

Join us for live updates as Middlesbrough take on Sheffield United at the Riverside in the Championship.

Throw in from the Blades eventually comes to Berge with his back to goal just outside the box. Brilliant move from Boro. Triangles on the right between Dijksteel, Jones and McNair with McNair on the touchline finding Jones wonderfully with the ball into the box. As the ball goes out of play by Wilder and Baldock runs beyond him, Wilder doesn't half give Baldock an earful! Credit too to Forss, who held the ball up excellently in the build-up before moving it to the right. Jones dives in and is beaten too easily by Norringtong-Davies. To make up for it he rushes back and sticks a foot in again, this time in the box. Fry has been solid at the back having returned to the side today. Boro break and McGree slips in Forss running left away from goal. Sloppy goal to concede after just 3 mins but response from Boro after was excellent. Excellent spirit from Boro to come from behind twice. Throw in came from a poor Lenihan clearance too. Sheffield United, meanwhile, have one win and one defeat so far, while they also exited the cup. From a throw in again...

Sheffield United line up against Middlesbrough, with Sharp returning (Sheffield United News)

Sheffield United travel to Middlesbrough today to face off with former manager Chris Wilder as they look to get their second win.

We’d also like to see McBurnie back among the squad. Up top, Rhian Brewster may drop back to the bench, while McBurnie’s return might see Daniel Jebbison miss out altogether. However, having hammered Boro 4-1 at Bramall Lane towards the back end of last season, United will be confident heading to the Riverside.

Ratings: How Middlesbrough FC and Sheffield United players fared ... (Yorkshire Post)

HERE are the Middlesbrough FC and Sheffield United player ratings from Sunday afternoon's Championship game at the Riverside Stadium.

Sharp: Strong, streetwise and led the line very well in his first start since March 19. Baldock: Got a bit of stick off Wilder in the first half. Foderingham: Protected well in the second half. Reacted well to be fair and helped set up leveller. Giles: Horror moment when he panicked and blasted a clearance into his own net to give United the points. Did threaten in the other goal and showed character.

Middlesbrough 2 Sheffield United 2: Managers' reaction as Blades ... (The Star)

United are looking for their first win of the formative Championship season and face a fellow promotion favourite in Boro at the Riverside.

We want to be the same away as at home, be aggressive and stand up to everyone, and we’ve come here and tried to take them on. We’re disappointed with the goal we conceded but credit Boro for coming back and that’s what made it for a good game. He was limping and we tried to strap it but we can’t get a break with that. We played forward and there was an intent, we wanted to set the agenda and got the early goal. I think they’re ready to ready to rock and roll and have some really good players. So for us to get off the canvas is really good for us.

'Excellent': Player ratings as Middlesbrough draw with Sheffield ... (Hartlepool Mail)

Middlesbrough drew 2-2 with Sheffield United at the Riverside – but how did each player fare for Chris Wilder's side?

Almost scored the winner with a late header. Subbed in the second half as Boro searched for an equaliser. Was a little hesitant in the build-up to United’s second goal.
