A-level students are set to find out their grades for the courses they have spent two years working on.
At least twenty percent of the programme will require you to attend a partner university for your non practical element of your apprenticeship training. The degree apprenticeship route will allow you to attain a Bachelors Degree in your chosen subject, whilst learning on the job and earning a wage. "Introduced in the 2015 - 2016 academic year, degree apprenticeships are rising in popularity and becoming more favourable over going to university. A spokesperson from Find Apprenticeships said: "After receiving A-Level results it can become a daunting prospect as to what to do next. On eve of results day admissions teams report surge in interest from students looking for places via clearing.
Nick Hudson, the chief executive officer of Ormiston Academies Trust, was hopeful most of his students would get the places they were aiming for. Ella Kirkbride, the head of admissions at the University of Hull, said: “We anticipate demand for places through clearing will be high. “It wouldn’t have been unreasonable if they envisaged a similar future for themselves, but that’s quite unlikely to occur,” he said. The research, based on a simplified version of exam boards’ grading process that draws a rigid midpoint between 2021 and pre-pandemic grading, suggests some subjects may be worse affected than others. But grades are likely to be significantly lower than last year, when almost 45% of all A-levels were graded A or A*. Uncertainty remains around university places, however, with higher demand from a bigger cohort and conservative offer-making from leading institutions.
