The new trailer for the Weird Al Yankovic trailer has dropped and Daniel Radcliffe has transformed into the parody king of the 80s.
In the film, Weird Al says ‘I’m a trainwreck’, intercut with images of excessive drinking, partying, and trips to the hospital. Fans were surprised, however, to see a scene teased of Weird Al and Madonna making out and are now wondering if the two ever actually dated. The entire trailer is a parody, so please take it with a very large pinch of salt.
The weird just got weirder with the trailer for Daniel Radcliffe's Weird: The Al Yankovic Story starring Evan Rachel Wood as a young Madonna.

Although Weird: The Al Yankovic Story looks like a fantastic and bellyaching-laughter-inducing piece of cinema, it is the farthest thing from a true representation of the quirky star's life. In the film, he can be seen at one point performing "Like a Surgeon" onstage while flanked by Madonna's backup dancers. The real Weird Al, despite being mega-famous, never really presented himself publicly in such a boisterous way. To which Madonna replies "Yes" and immediately transitions into a steamy make-out session, followed by Madonna adding, "Except for the fact that I've had a lot of sex." If there's one musician who effectively blended comedy and song to the highest degree, it's "Weird Al" Yankovic. This prompts Madonna to introduce herself and enter his home.

(If that movie was a soft reboot of Romancing the Stone, Radcliffe was firmly in the Danny DeVito role.) In that regard, the role of Weird Al is perfectly in keeping with his tastes, and he has certainly taken to the curly wig and Hawaiian shirt with gusto. When the trailer first hit Twitter, people were slightly confused, and it prompted many to ask: was Weird Al ever really that cut? Since appearing in the Harry Potter films, Radcliffe has carved out a niche for himself where he tends to play, well, weirdos, most recently opposite Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum in The Lost City.
