On Thursday and Friday from 10am to 3pm, SandStorm Art Club can be found in the Lower Gardens. Also in the Lower Gardens, at 7.45pm, the big screen will be screening classic films. The Army Household Division Specialist Contemporary Band will perform at midday on Thursday and Friday while live music from various acts will entertain guests from 1pm to 6pm on all four days. This will allow attendees to ensure they are in the prime position for each showcase. The Red Arrows, who will have a colourful seven-aircraft formation in tribute to the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee each day, will perform at 4.30pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday before a final demonstration at 1.30pm on Sunday. The Night Air entertainment programme kicks-off at around 6pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with the dusk flying displays generally getting underway at 7.15pm. The bars will also open until 10pm. From 12-12.45pm, the Army Household Division Specialist Contemporary Band is scheduled to perform. A live timetable can also be viewed on their website and app for people attending each day, with details on how to access it found below. Back on land, plenty of other action will be taking place to entertain guests at the internationally renowned show. The flying then commences in the early afternoon, generally around 1pm although the specific start time varies from day-to-day. All the various aircraft expected to make an appearance

Cllr Lawton wrote to the Queen earlier on in the year inviting her to the festival, which he said was dedicated to her Majesty and aimed to celebrate her 70 years of service. THE SKIES over Bournemouth were dazzled with a colourful array of afternoon flights for the town's returning Air Festival.

The bird strike forced an emergency landing with dramatic images showing the shattered windscreen. The issue came days after a bird smashed through the windscreen of the same jet.
