Books of condolence are open across Shropshire so people can pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth II who died on September 8.

These will be placed in the books of condolences. We know many people will want to express their sadness by laying flowers. A book will be open at Ellesmere Town Hall from 10.30am today. There is also a book of condolence in St Lawrence’s Church. Books of condolence are open at the following locations from 9.30am today (Friday 9 September). - Shrewsbury Library

Cambridgeshire: Where books of condolence for The Queen are (Ely Standard)

Mrs Julie Spence OBE QPM, the Lord Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire, signing a book of condolence after the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II.

A book will be available in the Study of the Old School Hall, Monday to Friday between 9am - 7pm and one at All Saints Church. A book of condolence will be available in St Neots Parish Church on Friday and Saturday. The Mayor of Huntingdon will issue a letter of condolence to Buckingham Palace and advise that a Huntingdon book of condolence has been made. On Sunday, September 11, the book will be available to sign in the Town Hall from 2.30 - 4.30pm. Huntingdon Town Council said "once the period of mourning has ended, it will combine the books of condolence and have them bound to be kept in Huntingdon Town Hall's archive." Books of condolence, which is available to sign from 9am - 4pm weekdays, will be taken to all Huntingdon Schools. Tomorrow (Saturday), the book will be available to sign from 10am – 3pm by the floral tribute laying area on the north side of the Town Hall. Condolence books will be available to sign between 9.30am-3.30pm Monday to Thursday, 9.30am-12pm on a Friday and 9am-12pm on a Saturday. A book of condolence will be available from Monday, September 12 and flowers may be laid at St Peter’s Church in March. All messages will be included in the Chatteris Book of Condolence. Books are available to sign in the Parish Church of St Peter & St Paul, Chatteris Library and the King Edward Centre. A book of condolence will be at the St Peter & St Mary Magdalene Church.

Messages left outside of those times will be published the following morning. Chairman of the Council, Councillor Dave Humphreys, will also write to the Royal Family offering our condolences. Flags are being flown at half mast, civic services planned and books of condolence opened across Greater Manchester following the news of the Queen's death.

An area where the public can lay flowers is also to be opened at the flagpole of the church. From 2.45pm on Friday, a memorial garden will be in place at St Peter’s Square. A book of condolence is also open for people to sign at the town hall. Anyone who has queries, or needs support with signing the book, is advised to email the Democratic Services Team at [email protected] Books of condolence are now open at the Reading Room of the Central Library which will be open to visitors from 9am to 6pm from Monday to Sunday until the day following the funeral. The flag at the Central Library has been lowered to half-fast and will be in place up to 8am on the day of the state funeral. Flags have been lowered to half mast and all 10 boroughs opened books of condolences today. The books of condolence will be closed at the end of the following day of the funeral. A civic service of remembrance is to be arranged at Bolton Parish Church to bring local people together on the eve of the funeral. Books of condolence are being opened at Bolton and Bury town halls and other civic buildings including at other towns and villages in the two boroughs. In Bolton and Bury, union flags on civic buildings are to be flown at half-mast until 8am on the morning following the state funeral. Trafford residents wishing to pay their respects can place flowers at Trafford Town Hall as a mark of respect and can do so in a special reserved area at the sunken gardens adjacent to the town hall.
