[Prince William](/news/royals/prince-william/)'s wife, 40, wore a black ensemble for the funeral of the late Monarch at Westminster Abbey, adding the Four Row Japanese Pearl Choker and Bahrain Pearl Earrings to her outfit. Catherine wore this necklace, alongside the Bahrain Pearl Earrings, at Prince Philip's funeral, as well as at a party at Windsor Castle to celebrate the Queen and Philip's 70 years of marriage. And on the Queen’s influence, as Kate navigated her own royal duties, the Princess called her “very generous” and “a gentle guidance”. “She’s been very generous and not sort of being forceful at all in any of her views,” Kate told the documentary. Kate has described the late monarch as a “doting granny” to her three children with Prince William, and has commented on the Queen’s “thoughtfulness” and “care in looking after everybody”. There was then a change of arrangements as Kate joined Queen Consort Camilla in the short journey to the historic building. She paired the two pieces of jewellery with a wide-brimmed black hat and net veil. As the young royals walked behind their great-grandmother’s coffin, Charlotte held her hands clasped in front of her while George had his arms by his side.
