Patel also took the wicket of Jared Hackney who went lbw for three. Graeme Davidge (3) was bowled by Patel, Alex Hackney was bowled for a duck by Scott and Stevenson (1) was bowled by Patel. In reply, there were contrasting fortunes for Grantham's openers. Matthew Barry (5) was caught and bowled by Scott who also took the wicket of Olly Barry who went lbw for one. Bilal Hussain (2) was the fifth Grantham batter to fall to a catch, with Cook (3-24) completing his hat trick of wickets. The club has a proud and strong community footprint running four senior teams and eight junior teams during the season. The club was formed in 1876, and participates in the South Wales Premier Cricket League, South Wales Cricket Association and South Wales Junior Cricket League.

Durham to host international cricket matches in 2023 (The Northern Echo)

ENGLAND'S men's and women's teams will both play international T20 fixtures at Durham's Seat Unique Riverside stadium next summer.

Non-members who buy tickets for both games will receive £5 off their ticket for the women’s match. Last year’s international sold out via the ballot and did not get to general sale, so anyone wishing to attend is strongly encouraged to sign up to the ballot. Durham Cricket members will receive priority access to tickets for next year’s internationals and £5 off with their membership, with 2023 membership available to buy now.

Sharon Bouhali, sales director at Persimmon Homes West Wales, said:“Persimmon’s Community Champions initiative is all about supporting the communities and people in which we build, and Pontarddulais Cricket Club is another deserving recipient. “The local business has a proud presence in the area and this funding has allowed us to continue supporting our burgeoning junior section, which currently has eight sides. “It was a great occasion for our community club, and we were delighted to be joined by our Glamorgan allocated players, James Harris and Lukas Carey – both former junior players at the club.” The club was formed in 1876, and participates in the South Wales Premier Cricket League, South Wales Cricket Association and South Wales Junior Cricket League. “Persimmon’s kind donation allowed us to reward all our junior players, parents and families, ending the 2022 season on a high. Commenting on the donation, Ben Roberts, secretary of Pontarddulais Cricket Club said: “We are very grateful to Persimmon Homes West Wales for their generous support. The club has a proud and strong community footprint running four senior teams and eight junior teams during the season. Persimmon’s donation went towards the club’s end-of-season junior presentation, which saw all players receive awards, and provided a BBQ for junior members and their families. The money has been made available through Persimmon’s Community Champions scheme, which has handed out more than £5m to good causes across Great Britain since its launch, and donates up to £4,000 in Wales every month.
