They've barely threatened and look nervous at the back. Both managers have promised to go for it tonight as they look to get the upper hand in the race to get out of Group A. Michael Smith arrives in the box and gets his head on a cross at the back post, but it's an easy enough stop for Gollini. A deep cross from the right isdn't stopped by Hearts, and Rolando Mandragora arrives right on cue to guide a header low past Craig Gordon and into the corner. Claioms for the Hearts fans and players that Pierluigi Gollini hanlded the ball outside the area as Orestis Kiomourtzoglou chased a ball over the top, but referee Erik Lambrechts waves play on and Fiorentina clear. He takes the opportunity to shoot and goes for the far top corner, but Craig Gordon throws himself to his left and tips the ball wide for a corner. A good chance for the visitors. A great run from Stephen Humphrus took him to the edge of the box and laid it off to McKay. Good feet from Jovic in the box creates space for a shot. Fiorentina sweep forward with a four on two, and take full advantage as Jovic taps home at the back post for 3-0. Hearts well beaten at home by Fiorentina, but didn't help themsevles with the way they started both halves, losing a goal and a man early on in both. Scott McDermott was at Tynecastle this evening and he's delivered his verdict on a bad night for the Jambos.
Rolando Mandragora could join Sofyan Amrabat in a double pivot, pushing Giacomo Bonaventura into more of a 10 role. Nikola Milenković and Nicolás González are ...

A one-man pressing machine at times as teammates tired. A real positive impression from the bench. Left exposed for the third goal. An energetic shift and was unfortunate with an audacious volley in the second half. Too little of those moments came though. Kio - 5 Hooked 10 minutes into the second half. Perhaps unfortunate to see red as there was an argument to be made for Gordon being the last man. Won his fitness race to make this one but rode high into an early challenge that only warranted a booking. Here is how we rated the Hearts players. It was 1-0 to the away side at Stephen Kingsley - 6
The two sides have been steady if unspectacular in the Conference League so far and both need a win.
But they haven't been so far in the Conference League with just one point from their first two games. They're not the best defensively and if Hearts have Barrie McKay, Lawrence Shankland and Alan Forrest all firing they DO stand a chance. Sleeping giants, maybe, but La Viola do have quality in their ranks and their current status at bottom of the group without a win must be taken with a pinch of salt as they're good enough to beat anyone on their day. They hold second spot just now and would be delighted with a draw here to keep them there after match day three. Defensively they've not been great recently and conceded four against Rangers at the weekend without the Ibrox side really getting out of first gear, it's going to a high scoring one and Hearts will have a chance but they might not have enough to beat Fiorentina. Fiorentina have started slowly in this group but they're a top quality side and Hearts will find it very difficult to deal with them if they are in form. I think they can pull it off. And they'll know tonight is one of those nights. But ultimately goals have been a massive issue for the Tuscany-based side with just seven goals in eight Serie A games and just one in two Europa Conference games. I fancy the Jambos to have a real go at it but I just think the Serie A side will edge the game. But they will be desperate to finally get their first victory in the Europa Conference League this evening and unfortunately for Hearts, I reckon they will do it. The defeat to Istanbul came at home and the victory in Latvia against RFS but they're back at Tynecastle tonight as they bid to put another three points on the board and heap some heavy pressure on their opponents, who just so happen to be Serie A giants Fiorentina.
