Mason Greenwood remanded in custody on attempted rape charge (BBC News)

Manchester United footballer Mason Greenwood, 21, who is also charged with assault, was denied bail.

The charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm is said to have taken place in December 2021. The attempted rape is alleged to have taken place in October 2021. The 21-year-old was also charged with assault and repeatedly engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour.
