THERE is huge sadness across the county following the sudden death of Clannad founder Noel Duggan. Mr Duggan (73) died on Saturday.
In a statement, they had said: “It is with great sadness that we have to announce the cancellation of our tour, ‘In a Lifetime USA/Canada Tour in September and October 2022. In August, the award-winning band announced they had been forced to cancel their US and Canadian tours the following month due to rising costs. Such is their worldwide appeal, they have recorded in six different languages and achieved eight UK top 10 albums. One Twitter user wrote: “Very sorry to hear, and thank you for the music over the last fifty plus years,” while another person wrote: “Such sad news. Deepest sympathies.” Another person wrote: “So sorry to hear about Noel. Mr Duggan (73) died on Saturday.
