Consider this a friendly reminder that this evening's Celtic vs Motherwell match kicks off at 6:15pm, far earlier than the more traditional 7:45pm or 8pm ...
We have been reassured that the circumstances surrounding this particular scheduling are extremely rare and unlikely to happen again.โ We asked the broadcaster to consider having the two live matches, scheduled for that day, run simultaneously on different channels. Should it go to extra time, there will be a scheduling conflict, meaning that coverage of the Celtic match against the Steelmen will be moved to the Free Sports channel.
On Wednesday, when they take on the current champions Celtic at Fir Park, Motherwell will be looking to advance further in the Scottish League Cup for the ...
The Steelmen have dropped their previous 13 games at Celtic Stadium, so travelling to the capital is a difficult challenge. Celtic have lost their previous two league games after suffering a rare setback a fortnight ago. The Steelmen have only won one of their past seven Scottish Premiership games after a promising start to the season.
It's all eyes on Fir Park as Motherwell look to derail Ange Postecoglou's bid to keep the Premier Sports Cup in the Celtic trophy cabinet.
He's been lively since he came off the bench, and looked to take on Lamie to get a clear run at Kelly's goal. Juranovic tries a shot and it's palmed into Abada's path for the tap-in. He picks out Abada, who is unmarked on the right wing. The Scottish champions were in cruise control and Hatate took a moment to show off as he netted a third. Liam Kelly was left alone to fend off the Celtic attack, but would eventually palm the ball to the feet of Abada in the second period. I thought the guys that came in tonight were good at that, and provided the general energy and drive we need. We've still got seven games to go in this stretch before the break. He insists that is a key part of his philosophy this term to push for every piece of silverware. Penney robs Celtic of the ball and drives into the box, and his low drive brings a fingertip save out of Siegrist who pushes the ball out for a corner. O'Riley brings a low drive out of the keeper, before Mooy forces a clearance from the stopper as he pings the ball low into the box. It could have been more with Kyogo racking up several good chances in Lanarkshire. There is just no way we can do that with just 11 or 12 players, especially with the way we want to play.
Celtic narrowly beat Motherwell in league action earlier this month with goals from Kyogo and Hatate.
Sead Haksabanovic also comes in for a start with Liel Abada and Kyogo mounting a strong attack. It was a narrow win at Celtic Park in league action this month for the Hoops, with Stevie Hammell's men hoping to take confidence from two spirited showings against both Glasgow heavyweights in recent weeks. [Motherwell.](https://www.scottishdailyexpress.co.uk/all-about/motherwell-fc) [Postecoglou](https://www.scottishdailyexpress.co.uk/all-about/ange-postecoglou) did hint at squad rotation for the midweek clash and the Australian boss has done just that with Benjamin Siegrist being handed a rare start in goal ahead of Joe Hart.
Celtic seem to have well and truly returned to their goalscoring ways. After putting six past Hibernian at the weekend, they scored four times against ...
On the other hand, while he has started twice in the Champions League, on neither occasion did he last past the break. He just has that natural instinct of a striker despite being a winger. Abada deserves particular praise for his performance on the day.
The Hoops launched their defence of this trophy with a convincing win over Ross County in the last 16 and their latest challenge came in North Lanarkshire ...
A late sub with around 10 minutes left. Didn't seem to be happening for him but then a confidence-boosting tap-in appeared. Wasn't required to do an awful lot. Charged about and won plenty of tackles before a moment of brilliance for the goal, shuffling his feet twice to beat two players and lob into the net. Another impressive showing from the winger. Just the norm from the in-demand midfielder. It was in midfield where Celtic really stretched Motherwell and this man was key. Passed the ball about really well and always available for a pass. Matt O'Riley - 7 Usual shot-stopping ability there but a tad rusty, as to be expected. Here is how we rated the [Celtic ](https://www.glasgowlive.co.uk/all-about/celtic-fc)players in North Lanarkshire. [Kyogo Furuhashi](https://www.glasgowlive.co.uk/all-about/kyogo-furuhashi) inexplicably fired wide from close range off a Reo Hatate cross, and he missed another opportunity soon after.
The Hoops put on a dominant display at Fir Park as they progressed to the semi-finals of the Premier Sports Cup.

Liel Abada scored twice and had a hand in another two goals as Celtic eased into the Premier Sports Cup semi-finals with a 4-0 victory at Motherwell. Abada was back in the team after making way for James Forrest to net a hat-trick against Hibernian and the ...
Motherwell gifted the holders the fourth in the 76th minute when Goss and Lamie got in each other's way and substitute Daizen Maeda set up Abada. Abada turned provider four minutes later to cut the ball back for Hatate in the six-yard box. But the tie was effectively over in the 56th minute when some Celtic pressure paid off. Liam Kelly recovered to save Abada's header from the rebound. Several players missed chances to clear, culminating in Paul McGinn heading straight to Greg Taylor. The left-back played a one-two with Sead Haksabanovic and squared for Abada to burst in between two Motherwell players and tap in from six yards.
