April 2021: Watford 1-0 Millwall (Championship) On Saturday we saw that from the likes of Imrân Louza, Yáser Asprilla and João Pedro when he came on, so I believe that can continue and we can build on the good feeling we’ve got at the moment.” “Mario Gaspar is back in training. Since the beginning of September, Millwall have only lost twice and are currently three matches unbeaten having tasted victory against Bristol City in their most recent encounter. Watford deliver another abject away performance at Millwall (Watford Observer)

Having watched ineptitude and Blackburn and meek surrender at Blackpool, it was hard to imagine Watford could serve up anything worse away from home – but ...

Sarr shot over the bar in a rare attack but Millwall made it 2-0 after 26 minutes and again it came from a high ball into the box. Six minutes later Bradshaw had his hat-trick and, as before, it was an aerial pass that did the damage. The second half was painful: not because Millwall tore Watford to shreds but because they didn’t need to. The early goal was bad enough, but it got worse as twice Watford simply did not win the first header from two Millwall set pieces. Mattie Pollock came in to make his first league start. The Hornets were never in it.

Millwall facing spell without 29-year-old star, says Gary Rowett - The72 (The 72 - We Love the Football League)

Millwall boss Gary Rowett has confirmed defender Murray Wallace is facing two to three weeks on the sidelines through a groin injury.

It means that Scott Malone will likely get a chance at an extended run in the Millwall side. Performances were too hot and cold with the back three in the early stages of the season and a switch to a back four has coincided with an undefeated run of form, including three consecutive wins. The Scot had started every Championship game before missing out on the 3-0 win over Watford in midweek.

Ranked: Millwall's top 5 best managers just by looking at their win ... (Football League World)

With the three-year anniversary of his appointment at Millwall coming up this weekend, Gary Rowett is one of the longest-serving managers in the ...

His first season wasn’t so successful as Millwall were relegated to the fourth tier, but back-to-back promotions following that – and lots of victories on the pitch in that time – secure Gray’s position at the top with 67 wins in 137 matches. Some years later though in 2000, he was appointed by Millwall when they were in League One and he was a major success in his early days, winning the third tier title in his first season and then guided them to the Championship play-offs in 2002. The Scot laid the foundations for Millwall to win their promotion to the top flight of English football for the first time ever in 1988 – that was two years after Graham departed for Arsenal, having won 86 of his 191 matches. Not considered to be one of the league’s money-spinners, Millwall have never been in the Premier League and do not have the budget of the big guns such as Sheffield United and Norwich City, and it’s testament to Rowett that he has his squad heading in the right direction. The Lions have been in and around the play-off mix in the second tier ever since Rowett replaced Neil Harris in the dugout in 2019, with finishes of eighth, 11th and ninth in the previous three seasons. [Millwall](https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/category/millwall/) coming up this weekend, Gary Rowett is one of the longest-serving managers in the Championship – a league that is notorious for bosses having short stints.
