We simulated Man City vs Brighton to predict the final score (Manchester Evening News)

Manchester City host Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon and we've simulated the game to predict the final score.

But, Haaland smartly let the ball run through his legs, allowing Grealish to pick up the ball in space and drive a powerful shot into the top corner of the net. Bernardo Silva made it 5-0 to City in the 43rd minute with a brilliant solo run, skipping past two challenges before drilling his shot into the bottom corner of the net. Haaland picked up the ball in a dangerous position in the box, but the angle was too tight to shoot as he was forced out wide. Haaland shrugged off his marker to break through on goal, and he fired into the top corner to double the lead. City got off to an ideal start against Brighton in the simulation, with Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland scoring in the opening 20 minutes to send City 2-0 ahead. Kyle Walker, Kalvin Phillips and John Stones are all set to miss out against Brighton, with the latter closest to a return out of the three.

This is certainly not the ground to be in a wasteful mood either. Of course we take the lesson on and off the pitch. That means Foden has to settle for a place among the substitutes. Goals continue to be a problem for Roberto De Zerbi’s side, who have not scored in their last three matches. With no match in midweek, the likes of That narrow loss to Liverpool ended the unbeaten start

He picks out KDB in the middle, who in turn has a one-two with Grealish to his left. "I don't want to change too much because I like the players and this style of play without the ball. But a moment of magic from De Bruyne killed the game and allowed City to romp to victory. They've had a couple of chances themselves, but the City defence has been equal to them so far. The past is the past, and already forgotten. KDB is picked out in acres of space on the edge of the area after a slick attacking move from City. We have not to forget our way and our style. We could have got to 2-2 but the goal from De Bruyne closed the game.” It's route one from Sanchez, playing Trossard up the middle of the pitch. A long punt from Ederson was allowed to bounce by the Brighton defence. The Belgium international also created the perfect chance for Mahrez to score a third at the start of the second half, wriggling away from the otherwise hugely impressive Moises Caicedo, and delivering the perfectly weighted pass for the Algerian to hit first time. “They play man to man [marking], so we have to be more direct.

Manchester City host Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday as Pep Guardiola's side aim to bounce back from their first defeat of the season.

Chelsea have gone to a back 4 with the trio of Kovacic, Jorginho and Loftus-Cheek in midfield. Chelsea head to RB Salzburg on Tuesday in the UEFA Champions League and then head to Brighton on Saturday, Oct. As for Manchester United, yet another Cristiano Ronaldo saga has dominated the last few days as he walked off early against Tottenham after being an unused sub and will not be in the squad to face Chelsea. The ball just hasn’t dropped to Raheem Sterling in the right areas on a few occasions. Casemiro and Eriksen class gives United sturdy foundation: The experienced duo of Eriksen and Casemiro got United off to a fine start as they ticked things over nicely in midfield and gave United a foundation to get something from the game. Manchester United host Sheriff Tiraspol in the Europa League on Thursday and then host West Ham on Sunday, Oct. Rashford, Aubameyang struggle: The forwards on both teams struggled to have an impact and perhaps both Chelsea and Manchester United will be better without a true No. United and Chelsea both tried to leave as many forward players forward as possible and it turned the game into a bit of a stalemate. United dominated midfield early on and got the ball to Sancho, Bruno Fernandes and Antony often and Chelsea couldn’t get going. Potter’s decision to bring on Kovacic after 35 minutes gave Chelsea the control they wanted as they switched to a back four and went to a 4-2-3-1. Phil Foden is also in superb form in attack and Kevin de Bruyne continues to pull all the strings and Rodri is a machine in midfield. The sides posted virtually identical numbers across the board, as they gave Guardiola and Co., a small taste of their own medicine (only without the same success in front of goal).

Man City vs Brighton live updates from Premier League fixture (Manchester Evening News)

Manchester City take on Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday as they return to Premier League action.

Guardiola joked yesterday that he had more faith in Liverpool as title contenders than Jurgen Klopp - but that’s a bad result for them at the City Ground and could undo all the progress they took by beating City. It hasn’t been uncommon so far to see multiple players ahead of him in City’s shape as the Blues try and find a way through a stubborn set-up.. City had a good spell around the goal but the game has fallen back into the pattern beforehand with the Blues slow in their build-up and Brighton looking to punish them on the break. John Stones has missed five games, and is taking things easy with Nathan Ake and the other substitutes, but looks to be running fine. The cross finds De Bruyne, who knocks it along to Grealish and instead of shooting he returns it to De Bruyne and the shot is blocked on the line. City then wanted a penalty and that’s got the crowd riled up, before a strong challenge on Kevin De Bruyne has them on their feet again. Guardiola’s been very animated on the sidelines, and had a bit of back-and-forth with Bernardo a moment ago over his position. No sulking, just straight back up the pitch and find another way to score. After consulting with the VAR he awards City a penalty! Haaland smashes the penalty into the right side of the Brighton goal. The rest of the game should be about killing Brighton off and looking ahead to Dortmund on Tuesday. Brighton might feel hard done by to be two goals down - especially with that questionable penalty call - but that’s what City can do, and it’s hard to keep these attackers quiet.

Report and free match highlights as Erling Haaland adds two more to his Premier League goal tally; Man City awarded a contentious penalty in the first half; ...

"I think in the first half, we could play with more energy, with more confidence, with more personality. I believe if we play the same way, same style, we will win a lot of games." "In the first half, Trossard could have played better because I think he's a very good player and I expect always more from him. A brilliant afternoon for Man City captain De Bruyne - and all with a black eye picked up in training. With the ball, they are really good but in the first half, they played with a high press and intensity and we were playing on their terms. I have to analyse only my work and that is to understand if the players play well or not. We took only two points and this is sad for us, but we have to work, to improve. "We played one of the most important team in the Premier League, but the lessons are the same. We suffered, but the quality from Kevin made the difference. VAR did check the goal for a foul, but Haaland was simply too strong for the Brighton defender. Silva fizzed the ball along the top of the area for the midfielder, who was offered far too much space to fire home a sumptuous effort. He was caught by Joel Veltman down the left of the area, sending the winger rolling off the field, clutching his ankle.
