Suffolk's GenX Radio presenter Tim Gough dies on air (BBC News)

Tim Gough, 55, dies from a suspected heart attack while broadcasting from his home in Suffolk.

Mr Foster, now at Radio Caroline, said: "I first got to know Tim when he was working behind the scenes on the Saturday afternoon sports show. One of Mr Gough's colleagues at Radio Orwell in the mid-1980s was presenter Stephen Foster, before the latter went on to work for BBC Radio Suffolk. A radio presenter who died while on air has been described as "a warm, caring, fun guy" who was loved dearly by those who knew him.

One of his former colleagues, now Virgin Radio presenter, Amy Voce, was among those to pay tribute to Tim. Tim Gough was an hour into his show on Monday before the music suddenly stopped. I am so sad to hear of his sudden death. Broadcaster Steph Miskin called him a “beautiful soul”.

My thoughts are with his family. Sadly, DJ Tim Gough, (55) died of a heart attack this morning whilst presenting his breakfast show on GenX, Radio Suffolk. My deepest sympathies to Tim’s family and friends. My condolences to his family, friends and the Gen X team. I know Tim was always supportive of his peers and colleagues. i’m gonna find a karaoke machine and scream love shack at the top of my voice for you one last time.
