William stepped out of his seafood lane and opted for a complex roasted venison loin with garlic gnocchi and sauce made from the bones, tonka bean and white chocolate panna cotta with caramelised bananas. Parminder did a cod wrapped in shiso leaves, blending Japanese with Indian, with tapioca for a dessert. William started off strongly, but used the wrong type of flour and his créme pat didn't thicken up, looking more like custard than anything. His sauce was noted as being mildly underwhelming, but he was commended for stepping out of his comfort zone. His meringue "saved the day", said Anna. Parminder comes from an Indian cuisine background, and has never really worked with oysters before.
