Dave Myers has recently been receiving medical treatment and was overjoyed to be back on TV.

Later on in the show, while Dave and Si where doing their cake baking, the duo confirmed they will be back on our screens next year for a new series called The Hairy Bikers Go Local. Dave Waters tweeted: "Great to see The Hairy Bikers back together baking live on Telly this morning. Jonny Harvey said: "Genuinely fantastic to see The Hairy Bikers back on TV and Dave back on top form faithfully accompanied by his big jolly best mate!" So lovely to see the Hairy Bikers together. He then started punching the air while shouting out "I'm over the moon to be back", which sparked a large round of applause and cheering from everyone in the studio. When introduced by presenter Matt Tebbutt, Dave said: "It's fantastic to be back and what a way to celebrate with Christmas here.

Si King, best known as one half of the Hairy Bikers with Dave Myers, commented on his co-presenter's health.

Despite Myers' gruelling rounds of chemotherapy, King said his co-star was feeling "stronger every day". By tackling cancer in the earliest of stages, a person's outlook is likely to be better than if the tumour was discovered in the later stages.
