SEVERAL south Essex schools will have delayed starts, with others closed, due to the heavy snow fall across Essex.

Aberdare Community School - A statement from the school said: "Due to issues with the school’s heating system ACS will be closed today. Additional notes: The PLC will be partially closed today (12.12.22) for learners who attend the KS3 provision in Neyland. Years 10, 11 and Sixth Form in school. Monkton Priory Community Primary School will be Closed (12/12/2022 - 13/12/2022) due to Inaccessible Due to Road Conditions. While it is slightly milder around the coast, Rhian added that some places will not rise above freezing. Some schools in Wales have announced their closure this morning after temperatures dropped to -8C in parts of the country overnight.
