Presenter Jonnie Irwin of A Place In The Sun has taken off today for a vacation in honor of his 49th birthday.

Jonnie Irwin has lung cancer. The British TV star, 49, said in a statement to The Sun that his contract with Channel 4’s home repair program A Place in the Sun, which he has fronted on-air since 2004, had been canceled after he revealed his terminal lung cancer diagnosis in 2020. Jonnie recalls receiving the news that he has six months to live after learning that he has lung cancer just before his birthday.
