The one thing that everyone wants for me is for me to be happy, and to find my happiness. I didn't think I'd be able to fall in love because I was concentrating on bettering myself and bettering the future for my family. If you want to work in Paris, go and work there. If you want to live somewhere, go and live there. If you want to do something, go and do it. Being able to train and repair your muscles–the little things that you can do for longevity. And not be in the noise. I do love getting to the gym and feeling like I'm tearing my muscles left, right, and center. Coming to the end of the year, I feel super thankful for everything. I think I bring a nice little sparkle here and there.

Lucien Laviscount plays Alfie in the Netflix show "Emily in Paris" and he says his life has not been the same since he made his debut in season two.
I think from season two coming on set, I went to the table read and to be the new kid on the block… But um, but in all honesty, it's amazing to kind of be in a city and feel the energy. And coats, which is the worst thing to hoard because it's so difficult to store them. I think there’s a confidence in the maturity and vulnerability within that. It's season two, the show's been this amazing phenomenon and then you're coming in as this new kind of character. And obviously, you see more of his day-to-day, he's not just rushing back from the office or going into the office. There are certain situations, especially in season three where shit hits the fan, basically and I look at Alfie... I don’t feel like he’s out of place in a world where everyone's just figuring it out. I find it difficult sometimes to walk away from situations because I want to fix them. But this season, you definitely get to see a little bit more of what makes him tick. I want that in my life as well. To be part of that is pretty special.”
Lucien Laviscount, the British actor who plays Alfie in the Netflix show 'Emily in Paris', spoke with us about his style and much more.
“It’s a blessing to be able to know that when I look up at the stars, I feel like I’m so insignificant,” he says. “If I can make a little bit of a difference, I’ve done my job.” “I always want to be prepared for what the end of the world might look like, or what any other job might look like.” “I get to reinvent myself every time I get off a flight,” he says. The show’s got a fourth season in the pipeline, but it’s prudent to think ahead. “Is it OK if I cry?” she responds, hugging the celebrity who is standing in her front yard and fanning her face as he hands her a ticket. “Fitness is all mental for me — everything is to feed the mental,” Laviscount says. “I think when you are in New York, Los Angeles in particular, it’s easy to get lost in everyone else’s downfalls and success,” he says. It’s very important for me to navigate and survive the actor’s life.” According to the actor, it’s fun to play, too — and the cues come from the costumes. So we traipsed through the rain one avenue east and three blocks north to the comparatively proletariat Viand Coffee Shop, trading in the hotel’s oversized, bauble-laden Christmas tree and jazzy holiday music for drugstore decorations and the steady thwack of a fork beating eggs in a metal bowl, the crashing stacks of white diner plates hot from the dishwasher and a chorus of “more coffee” — either an offer or a request. Lucien Laviscount had just arrived at the iconic hotel across from New York’s Central Park, coming from a sit-down on Good Morning America to herald in season three of his hit
The charismatic Lucien Laviscount returns as Alfie in Season 3 of Emily in Paris to enchant the audience with his British charm.
I go to the gym and after that, the "dance" is a bit different. LL: I want to change and help shape the world. I put on the costume, I put on the shoes. I am very happy about this and I have also worked very closely with an organization for the past few years that highlights charities with full transparency. But a typical day of shooting is when I sit in the chair, turn on my music, have some fun with my hair & makeup team and we get on set and "start dancing." And a typical day when I'm filming compared to when I'm at home. And then it's a collaboration on stage, it's a collaboration with the directors, the writing team. I can be anything and this world of acting has opened so many doors for me and I love what I do. I went to the audition and got the job. I was from Burnley and I had a big afro. What fascinated me about it, and what still fascinates me about it, I think there is no right or wrong. There's no end, there's no middle, it just keeps flowing and I feel like acting is a part of me now.
