EastEnders fans are going to see another side of Sonia Fowler after a difficult few years for the resident nurse.
From a teenage pregnancy and the death of boyfriend Jamie Mitchell (Jack Ryder) to a cancer scare and a fake dad in Rocky Cotton (Brian Connelly). For the past couple of years, Sonia has been left exhausted by working for the NHS during the coronavirus pandemic and was most recently left heartbroken thanks to the loss of her precious step-grandmother. She threatened to burn the house down but when Rocky was able to stop her, Dotty left in the back of a taxi, leaving Sonia to have the house all to herself. "You've got to remember she's a nurse, she works really hard, she's got Dotty on her case all the time, Dot's not been around. Dot had left her house in Albert Square to her step-granddaughter for all of her years of devoted love and care but, of course, Dotty Cotton (Milly Zero) was far from happy. Eastenders star Natalie Cassidy was left stumped when she appeared on a special festive edition of The Weakest Link. Natalie was quick to admit she would be 'roasted' by family and friends for some of the questions she got wrong. And while Natalie - who has played Sonia Fowler in the BBC soap since she was a child - made it to the final two, she made an embarrassing slip up along the way when asked a question on Staffordshire. But despite the error, Natalie made it to the final head-to-head against comedian, narrator and actor John Thomson who was the eventual winner and took ยฃ7,300 home for Francis House Children's Hospice. The actor was among the celebrities testing their knowledge for charity on the popular BBC quiz show this evening.
