Ronan Vibert, star of the big and small screens, has died at the age of 58 following a short illness, his management confirmed.

Deadline reports a private funeral service will take place in the coming days and that a Celebration of Life is planned to take place in London next year. He made his film debut in Shadow of the Vampire opposite Willem Defoe and John Malkovich. The star, who has a long list of acting credits to his name, died after a short illness.

With a long list of credits, the English actor had a successful career in film, tv and on the stage.

His last role was as Ritter Longerbane in the 2019 television series Carnival Row alongside Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne. Actor Ronan Vibert, who was best known for his roles in Saving Mr Banks and The Snowman, has died aged 58. He attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and went on to score a number of roles on British TV in the 1990s. He earned a part in Roman Polanski’s Oscar-winning film The Pianist in 2002 and in the Angelina Jolie-led 2003 action sequel Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life.
