During the night, she had some Calpol and a few swigs of her milk before going back off to sleep." After a medic tried to check her tonsils, Hailey began throwing up, Kris said. Her parents, Kris Thompson, 32, and Ibolya Adam, 35, took her to the hospital on Saturday evening (December 17) suspecting she had a viral inflection. Kris and Ibolya said they waited for four hours at the hospital before their daughter was triaged. "On the fourth try, I was told there would be a two-hour wait. I tried to ring [111] for advice, but was on the phone for about 20 minutes before I hung up.

The toddler's parents 'want answers' after their daughter was found dead in her sleep despite multiple hospital visits.

Hailey's first trip to the hospital was on the 7th of December. But after 20 minutes, the ambulance was still a no-show. But early the next morning, Mr Thompson was shocked to find Hailey unresponsive in her room, her body stiff and discoloured. Little Hailey Thompson was confirmed dead less than 24 hours of visiting Wigan Infirmary on December 18 where she had to wait over five hours to be looked at. "When we found her at 5.30am on Monday she was lying in exactly the same position I had seen her in when I went to bed at midnight, only she was stiff and her skin discoloured. "But she couldn’t revive her and she was pronounced dead at hospital."
