Scottish Premiership: Celtic v Kilmarnock plus three other games (BBC Sport)

Hearts manager Robbie Neilson has told BBC Sportsound that Andy halliday misses out with concussion, while also praising his opposition's defensive solidity ...

It's unusual to be playing the same team two weeks in a row but it will be a different set of circumstances and a different challenge. "We've got to enjoy the build-up to the semi-final. We've been a goal threat, but it's disappointing how we lost the first goal. I thought we got further up the pitch and stopped their style of play. St Mirren were relentless in the first half, they made it so difficult for Hearts and had so many good chances. The boys were brilliant to a man. "The second goal was when we were were attacking and they break on us. If I was to summarise the game, we took our chances and Ross County didn't. Celtic hit the bar a couple of times and my keeper has made saves, but we did a lot right out of possession and in possession. I was really pleased with our first-half performance but really sickened to lose the goal on the stroke of half-time. "Second half, we were much higher up the pitch and that allows us to control the game. We'll be working hard on that in the next couple of weeks."

Celtic vs Kilmarnock - LIVE score (Scottish Daily Record)

Jota being on the right appears to be hindering his usual brilliance. A quick counter attack sees Starfelt break the lines from his own half with a superb pass. It's really been a non-contest, especially since the opener. The striker's effort ended up in the back of the net - though it appears to have gone down as an Ash Taylor own goal. He's getting ever closer to the goal he has been craving. A strong header from eight yards is stopped superbly by Sam Walker, before play is recycled. Had [Celtic](https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/all-about/celtic-fc) lost at the home of their old enemy, it would've left Rangers breathing down their necks with a measly six-point gap separating the two - though a late Kyogo strike changed that. Ange Postecoglou won't worry; his side limited McInnes' squad to just two shots. Celtic have a couple of chances to swing the ball in after some good play by Mooy, Johnston and Jota down the right-hand side but nothing comes of it. The ball is then drilled in and Maeda tries to get on the end of it, though it is just beyond reach. James Forrest and Giorgos Giakoumakis both scramble to tuck the ball away in a game of pinball, but they can't just get the ball home via a Sam Walker stop. Either way, Celtic were two-sing and cruising.

The game will be played out in front of a capacity crowd at Celtic Park. The midfielder will feel that he needs to prove a point given impressive showings from Hatate and Mooy in recent weeks, especially with O’Riley reiterating his determination to get back to his best. Cameron Carter-Vickers and Carl Starfelt will likely start in the heart of the defence, even with Moritz Jenz chomping at the bit for game time. Giorgos Giakoumakis’ future is up in the air with the Greek striker seemingly refusing to sign a new contract. Ange stated that there was a sickness bug going through the squad in anticipation of the game at Ibrox. Celtic won 5-0 down at Rugby Park back in August and will be looking for a performance as clinical as that afternoon.

We simulated Celtic vs Kilmarnock to get a score prediction in ... (Glasgow Live)

Celtic host Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon, so we simulated the game to get a score prediction ahead of the clash.

FIFA 23 predicts that Celtic could continue their impressive recent form against Kilmarnock, winning 3-0 in the simulation. Postecoglou's side pushed for a third despite their dominant lead, and it was Hatate who got on the scoresheet again with seven minutes remaining to confirm the victory for Celtic. A long ball from Cameron Carter-Vickers found Kyogo making the run forward on the left, and a cheeky nutmeg saw the striker break towards goal. As Kilmarnock tried to play out of the back, Callum McGregor's press saw the hosts win back possession, and the Scotsman found Mooy's bursting run forward with a perfectly placed through ball. After picking up the ball deep in the Kilmarnock half, Hatate surged forward, exchanging passes with Kyogo and Aaron Mooy to break into the box. Interestingly, most chances were falling to the midfielders due to some poor marking from the visitors, and it was Mooy who doubled the lead in the 59th minute after finishing off a well-worked move. The Hoops are unbeaten in their last 10 games against Kilmarnock, with the aggregate scoreline of the last three clashes ending 11-0 to Celtic. Celtic dominated the first half, with the hosts causing all sorts of problems when going forward whilst shutting out the visitors' threat at the back. The draw ended [Ange Postecoglou's](https://www.glasgowlive.co.uk/all-about/ange-postecoglou) side's 12-game winning streak in the Scottish Premiership, and they will look to get back to winning ways against Derek McInnes' men this weekend. As Kyogo looked to shoot, he opted to square the ball to Hatate who entered the box unmarked again, and the midfielder had a simple tap-in to grab his second of the afternoon. Kilmarnock failed to register a shot in the first half, and the second half continued in the same fashion, with Celtic in full control. [Celtic](https://www.glasgowlive.co.uk/all-about/celtic-fc) claim a point in a thrilling 2-2 draw with [Rangers](https://www.glasgowlive.co.uk/all-about/rangers-fc) at the Ibrox in the Hoops' last outing, with the point keeping the gap between the sides at nine points at the top of the table.

Celtic player ratings vs Kilmarnock as Jota strikes and Reo Hatate ... (Glasgow Live)

Celtic went twelve points clear at the top of the table after a comfortable win against Kilmarnock who they will face at Hampden next week.

A great front post run for second goal - he came alive. Came to life in the box before the break but Jota was offside. Looked eager to prove a point when he came on. A few more chances himself in the second half but no goal. A sublime eye for a pass shown by the opener and a good cross for Kyogo for the second. Kyogo - 8 A good showing and will give him confidence. Nice link-up in the midfield from the off. The Portuguese struck just before the whistle after Daizen Maeda was set free on the left and the winger cut in to the six yard to roll the ball home with Kyogo also sliding in. Jota - 8 Celtic continued to press Killie and were unlucky not to make it a trio of goals as all eyes are now on Hampden. The league leaders were loose in their possession before Killie clipped the crossbar and [Kyogo](https://www.glasgowlive.co.uk/all-about/kyogo-furuhashi) netted but his counterpart Jota was offside.

They toiled for a time against a stubborn Kilmarnock before goals either side of half-time made victory a formality. Rangers travel to Tannadice this afternoon 12 points behind and needing snookers to prevent the run-in proving more than a procession for Ange Postecoglou’s team. Perhaps that what was Postecoglou had in mind when sourly depicting Celtic as serial victims of VAR injustice.
