The safe, pictured, was discovered on the cycle path under Chaffcombe Lane. It was taken in by the police after being found on Sunday, January 8.

"We've not been able to link it to any reported crime. A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "We're keen to ID the rightful owner of a safe found on the cycle path under Chaffcombe Lane Chard on Sunday, January 8. POLICE are trying to return a safe found in Chard to its rightful owner.
