Coventry City vs Norwich City betting tips: Championship preview ... (101 Great Goals)

Our recommended bet for Saturday's clash at the Coventry Building Society Arena comes in the form of a draw between Coventry City and Norwich City.

It is Saturday’s visitors to the Coventry Building Society Arena who will therefore head into proceedings altogether more confident in their chances of clinching a result. After failing to reap the benefits of the so desired ‘new manager bounce’ en route to a defeat of their own in the FA Cup, Norwich City made the trip to Deepdale last Saturday with confidence lacking in the camp, in the midst of a five-game winless streak. Our recommended bet for Saturday’s clash at the Coventry Building Society Arena comes in the form of a draw between Coventry City and Norwich City.

Coventry City boss Mark Robins explains exactly what 'killed' his ... (Coventry Live)

Coventry City match reaction from CoventryLive as Mark Robins gives his post-match verdict after a difficult afternoon at the CBS Arena.

Credit to them, they nearly did it but we ran out of legs and then we made the changes.” But as a group we got a lot right but a lot wrong. “We didn’t do that well enough until we got the first goal. “But we were three goals down within a blink of an eye and looked like we could go under. If you get that wrong it shouldn’t mean that they get a goal, that they have a shot on your target and have a goal. When we did it, we got it right.

Scored on the half volley off his shin to pull one back for the Sky Blues on 20 minutes in an hard working and determined display. Sent in the cross to Gyokeres for the second City goal and got forward confidently to support and create openings on the attack, always willing to take on his man. A real threat when played in behind, taking on and beating defenders every time he had the ball. Had a hand in City's first goal on a difficult afternoon for the Sky Blues. Made a decent save at his near post to deny Sara a third in the 16th minute. Worked hard but had his work cut out against such a fluid Norwich front line that attacked in numbers. Coventry managed to pull one back two minutes later when Kasey Palmer sent in a deep cross from the right which Bidwell headed back towards Jamie Allen who struck a shot on the half volley into the top corner. Looked off-colour and eventually subbed on 66 minutes with something clearly not right. Strong and direct with the ball at his feet and had a hand in the City’s second goal in the 26th minute when he swivelled with his back to goal and Palmer picked his spot. Mark Robins’ men got off to the worst possible start when they conceded from a sixth minute corner, allowing centre-half Grant Hanley to muscle in before Michael Rose got the final touch to score an own goal. Continued to battle and defend as best he could against top opposition with outstanding movement. Made excellent use of the ball with his technical ability and sent in the cross for Allen’s goal and scored the second with a brilliantly placed finish.
