Bristol City vs West Bromwich Albion live: Updates from Ashton Gate (Bristol Live)

All the build-up, live match action and reaction as the Robins look to progress into the fifth round of the FA Cup.

It's Jed Wallace who is freed on the right and fires in a low cross looking for Dike. Sykes was played through on the right and his cross aimed towards Wells was mopped up safely by Button. Scott plays Bell through on goal and his pace is frightening as he bursts into the area. You could almost see the relief etched on his face. This is getting lively after a quiet first 10 minutes. So dynamic going forward and playing with a lot of confidence. What a superb watch and take a bow Sam Bell and Alex Scott... Tomas Kalas is also pushing for his first start of the season following his comeback from injury. Bristol City take on West Brom this afternoon in the fourth round of the FA Cup. A brilliant performance and a massively deserved victory. It's Wells who has been instrumental with everything City produce going forward. Almost the equaliser from a corner - it comes in from the right and Yokuslu gets his head on it but glances it just past the right post.

FA Cup: Bristol City 3-0 West Brom - Report (expressandstar.com)

Albion lost consecutive matches under Carlos Corberan for the first time as they were dumped out of the FA Cup by Bristol City.

A lovely Sykes cross from the right is well collected by Bell and dinked over Button at the near post. Jayson Molumby loses it in midfield from Tom Rogic's pass and Mark Sykes delivers a perfect low ball from the right for Alex Scott to hammer home. The tie is done and dusted moments after the break. Albion's play was sloppy and a weighty Rogic pass had too much for Molumby, whose touch was poor and got away from the Irishman. Green and yellow shirts leave it to one another and Bell punishes with aplomb with an excellent curled finish with his right foot across David Button. Sam Bell takes advantage of terrible hesitancy in the Albion box after a short corner goes uncleared. City were rarely troubled and used the ball well throughout. Dara O'Shea recovered to bail out another Ajayi loose header later in the half. Any hopes of a second-half fightback were extinguished as Bell dinked his second three minutes after the restart. The opener threatened to liven up Corberan's men. An early scare behind the makeshift back four was flagged offside. The Robins are set to lose star attacker Antoine Semenyo to Bournemouth, one of two home changes.

West Brom player ratings vs Bristol City as Albion crash out of FA Cup (Birmingham Live)

West Bromwich Albion have been knocked out of the FA Cup at the fourth round stage by a 3-0 defeat at Bristol City. The Robins scored the opening goal ...

Thomas-Asante (for Dike 52) - We had not seen much of him since he came on, but when left unmarked he almost pulled a goal back for the side and became livelier towards the end. Taylor Gardner-Hickman (for Molumby 52) - We saw brief moments of the 21-year-old but he tried to tee up play, often getting the ball forward. Grant - Quiet in the first half and had didn't see much of the ball in the second, was well marked by the home side. Dike - The American was left on his own on the edge of the box and could have caused damage before being denied by stopper, Max O'Leary. He was very lively and made a few runs down the flank and provided some key contributions. Played well and held the ball up well under pressure. Always seems to be at the right place and at the right time when defending in his own box. A miscommunication with David Button almost resulted in a second goal from the hosts. Button responded well with a save in the first minute and was hard done by with the goals conceded. Albion had some chances to reduce the scoreline but ultimately, came away with nothing. Albion responded well to the threats caused by Nigel Pearson's side and had chances of their own, but shot-stopper Max O'Leary did well to stop any damage from Daryl Dike. With Carlos Corberan's side not taking their chances to get back in the tie, the hosts then scored a second after Jayson Molumby lost the ball in midfield.

Promoted to the starting line-up in place of ยฃ9million Bournemouth signing Antoine Semenyo, the 20-year-old academy product opened the scoring after 12 minutes with an exquisite right-footed curling finish from inside the box after Albion failed to clear a corner.

Bristol City player ratings vs West Brom: Academy products ... (Bristol Live)

The Robins cruise into the fifth round of the FA Cup with a 3-0 win after Sam Bell's double and Alex Scott's first goal of the season.

Worked tirelessly to create space for Bell and Sykes to exploit and gave the defence barely any time on the ball. A long time coming but the midfielder grabbed his first goal of the season with a surging run from deep into the area. Looked a lot more comfortable in the second half, winning his headers and didn't allow substitute Thomas-Asante to have an impact. Really effective in that defensive midfield position and seems to be growing into the role. Barely gave Dike a sniff and read the game superbly to cover that space between Tanner. A brilliant double save in the second half denied Thomas-Asante initially before clawing out an effort from the resulting corner.
