The Samsung Galaxy S23, S23 Plus and S23 Ultra are available to ... (The Independent)

The Samsung Galaxy S23, S23 Plus and S23 Ultra have been announced – here's the best place to pre-order, plus price, features, specs and more.

12MP Here are the official specifications from Samsung. All three phones are more expensive than their S22 counterparts, owing to increased production costs and the pressures of global inflation. The offer doesn’t apply to the 1TB version of the S23 Ultra, which costs £1,599. And there’s good news for Samsung fans in the UK. The S23 Ultra continues to look to carry the torch for the now-retired Galaxy Note range. Both of the smaller phones drop the corner-bump in favour of three ringed lenses, giving the rear of the phone a less cluttered appearance and bringing them in line with the design of the Ultra. Our full review will appear once we’ve had more time with the device. All three phones come in four new colours: green, lavender, cream and black. The S23 Ultra – now the largest and most powerful phone Samsung makes – is getting the biggest upgrade of the three. So, what’s new this year? From today (1 February) until then, pre-orders for all three phones are available directly from

Samsung Galaxy S23 vs Galaxy S23 Plus: How do the latest ... (TrustedReviews)

Samsung has just announced its latest line-up of Galaxy handsets, but how do the two entry-level phones compare?

These are the type of upgrades we like to see across the board, but there’s no denying that the S23 Plus’ larger battery will make it more appealing to folks who need a smartphone that can hold up under intensive use. One of the appeals of Samsung’s ‘Plus’ range is its superior battery life (owing to a larger battery cell), and that’s only set to improve for the S23 Plus. Just like its predecessor, the Galaxy S23 Plus boasts a large 6.6-inch display that makes it ideal for watching the latest films and TV series on the go.

The S23 Ultra gets improved video stabilisation courtesy of something called ‘Adaptive VDIS’, which is a software-level algorithm that analyses movement and detects lighting conditions in video and stabilises accordingly. The rest of the camera lineup is much the same as before, including a pair of 10MP telephoto lenses, a 12MP ultrawide unit and a 12MP selfie. As expected, Samsung made a big song and dance about the S23 Ultra’s cameras. Night shooting is greatly improved, apparently, with new pixel binning tech that combines neighbouring pixels to help improve the lighting in a photo. Despite a set of four new colour options – Phantom Black, Cream, Green and Lavender – there’s no hiding the fact that the S23 Ultra looks remarkably similar to last year’s model. This now gives you full visibility over which app has access to your data, how it’s being used and a breakdown of where you might be at risk. Samsung says that the curvature on the left and right edges of the screen is a bit more dramatic, but this isn’t something that was immediately obvious during my hands-on session. A total of five years’ worth of security updates is also promised, with four years of One UI and Android OS upgrades. If you’ve got the money to splurge on a new phone in 2023, then the S23 Ultra might be the one to buy. The S23 Ultra contains 12 internal and external components (up from six) which consist of discarded fishing nets, plastic from water barrels, aluminium and glass. A note-taking doodler and all-round productivity stylus, this is what makes the S23 Ultra truly special. Outside of a new Advanced Vision Booster feature – which adjusts colour tone and contrast at three different ambient lighting levels – there’s not much new to report here, either.

Samsung's Galaxy S23 Ultra has a super-charged camera for the ages (British GQ)

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and its seriously jacked 200-megapixel camera really are here to take on Apple's iPhone 14 Pro.

With a 200-megapixel wide-angle lens, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra features one of the most ludicrously specced cameras ever seen on a smartphone. That’s still 20 years behind the likes of Apple and Microsoft – Google even wants to operate on operate 24-7 on carbon-free energy by 2030 – but it is at least progress. With prices starting at £1,299 for the Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro 14in base model, this new generation of Samsung laptops looks pretty tempting. You get the same selection of ports and sockets, too, with the addition of a SIM tray and an identical-looking keyboard arrangement. Closed, there looks to be not much difference between it and the standard Book3 Pro. Alas, the latter wasn’t at the hands-on event I attended but I was able to get some time with the larger “Pro” 2-in-1 device. The keyboard is the same style, with chiclet keys and a number pad to the right. Only testing will reveal how colour accurate it is but in terms of its visual appeal impact it’s a stunner. There’s also a microSD card slot, one USB-A 3.2 port and a 3.5mm headset jack on the right edge. The former measures a slim 11.3mm when closed and weighs 1.17kg, while the 16in model tips the scales at 1.56kg. Critically, that killer OLED screen remains in place. Samsung Announces Its Next Generation Flagship S Series Devices ... (Forbes)

1-Ranked Industry Analyst Patrick Moorhead covers Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event where Samsung announced its new Galaxy S23 flagship smartphones and ...

Samsung could not have designed the Galaxy Book3 Ultra at a better time. Samsung has also minimized the camera bump on the back of the Galaxy S23 and S23+, making it more in line with the camera bump on the back of the S23 Ultra. Considering I was able to get a hand-on experience with the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra, I’ll say that Samsung really knows how to make a premium device. I appreciate Samsung's reduction in curvature for the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Amon also talked about how the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is for Galaxy which leads me to believe there is some semi-customization in the S23 processor. The Galaxy S23 Ultra supports real-time ray tracing for enhanced gaming, and Samsung says its 5,000 mAh battery also lasts 20% longer. The Galaxy S23 devices boast Qualcomm's newest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 system-on-chip (SoC), and it is one of the biggest generational improvements I have ever seen in an SoC. Alongside 45% better power efficiency and 25% better Adreno GPU performance, it has 60% better performance per watt (PPW) and 90% better overall performance compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Although the raised aluminum back on the S22 and S22+ looks better in my opinion, changing the backs to match the S23 Ultra makes sense. While monikers like "Max," "Ultra" and "Pro" always help in differentiating the different levels of devices, when Samsung includes its "Ultra" in a device, it means it. However, not everyone can pull off a high-megapixel camera sensor like the Galaxy S23 Ultra's 200MP camera sensor with its pixel-binning technology and AI-powered ISP. This week Samsung announced its next-generation S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra flagship smartphones, alongside five new Ultrabook laptops in its Galaxy Book series.

Samsung Galaxy S23 vs Galaxy S22: What's new? (TrustedReviews)

The new Samsung Galaxy phone is here bringing with it a number of exciting upgrades, but how does the Galaxy S23 compare to the Galaxy S22?

Where the S22 cost £769 at launch, the S23 will set you back £849, meaning you’ll need to pay £80 more for the newer model. Another key upgrade coming to the Galaxy S23 this year is its bigger battery. We actually found the battery life on the S22 to be pretty underwhelming. Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Pro vs Galaxy Book 3 Ultra: Which laptop is ... (TrustedReviews)

Samsung has just released a batch of new hardware, including the latest Galaxy Book 3 Pro and Galaxy Book 3 Ultra laptops.

The Galaxy Book 3 Pro comes in two configurations when it comes to size, at 14 inches or 16 inches. On the other hand, the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra can only be configured with 16GB LPDDR5 RAM, and either 512GB or 1TB PCle storage. Out of the two, the Galaxy Book 2 Ultra is by far the most powerful and will be better suited for those that want to engage in graphically intensive tasks. It has a starting price of £2449, while the Galaxy Book 3 Pro has a starting price of £1349. The inclusion of these GPUs suggests that the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra can be used for creative professionals or for gamers, as they will provide studio-grade graphics. The GPU is arguably more interesting, as the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra can feature either an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 or [RTX 4070](https://www.trustedreviews.com/news/nvidia-rtx-4070-release-date-price-specs-design-4223334) laptop GPU.

Hands on: Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra review (What Hi-Fi?)

Samsung's latest flagship phones look and feel great in our recent hands-on session, offering refined designs and lightning-fast performance.

The S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra are shaping up to be a solid if slightly unexciting next step in the Galaxy S series. The S22 Ultra, in particular, is an excellent handset, and the S23 Ultra appears to be at least as good. The phone supposedly features Dolby Atmos support, but there wasn’t much in the way of Dolby Atmos content to test that out. While the S23 Ultra display features a higher resolution, we didn’t notice the S23 and S23+ suffering in the detail department, so they too could prove strong options for those who value punchy picture quality but don’t want or need a huge screen. Finishing off with our tried and true Blade Runner 2049 (well, the trailer), it too looked impressively punchy on both the S23 and S23 Ultra. The S23 Ultra also features an S-Pen, after its predecessor gained custody of the stylus when the beloved-by-some Galaxy Note series was discontinued. The trade-off for the extra girth is, as ever, extra screen, with the Ultra featuring a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a higher, 1440p resolution. The Galaxy S23 range, like many of its smartphone brethren, has seen a bump in price in comparison with its predecessor. While we weren’t able to offload any images from the test unit at the hands-on event for serious analysis, we did at least get to try the camera out, and it seemed very impressive indeed. The S22’s camera housing that melted into the frame of the phone is no more, as now each lens is separated with a colour-matched metal ring to the glossy aluminium frame. Elsewhere, the standard duo of S23s feature flat, 1080p, 120Hz AMOLED displays up front, a matte-glass back panel, and the aforementioned glossy metal rails that it shares with its 2022 predecessor. We’ll obviously wait until we have the phones in our own labs for more extensive testing before we publish our full review and final verdict.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra vs Galaxy S22 Ultra: The two flagships ... (TrustedReviews)

Though they may look very similar, there are key differences between the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and last year's Galaxy S22 Ultra.

Interestingly, it looks like the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra has the upper hand in the front-facing camera department with a 40MP snapper compared to the 12MP camera from this year’s S23 Ultra. Thankfully, there’s none of that confusion this time around with the Qualcomm variant of S23 Ultra shipping worldwide. It sports a unique variant of Qualcomm’s latest chipset dubbed the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, which is said to deliver flagship-level performance with an overclocked CPU and a more powerful and power-efficient Adreno GPU. More specifically, the S23 Ultra sports a whopping 200MP rear-facing camera powered by Samsung’s ISOCELL HP2 sensor, compared to the 108MP alternative from the S22 Ultra. It’s made from the same combination of aluminium and glass too, providing just as premium a look and feel as the S22 Ultra does. With that said, this year’s S23 Ultra does offer significant camera upgrades, a boosted processor and other features that help it stand out.

The Samsung Galaxy S23, S23 Plus and S23 Ultra are available to ... (The Independent)

The Samsung Galaxy S23, S23 Plus and S23 Ultra have launched. And they're all available to pre-order now at different retail stores. Find out more here.

The S23 Ultra continues to look to carry the torch for the now-retired Galaxy Note range. And there’s good news for Samsung fans in the UK. That’s effectively a discount of £150 on the 512GB S23 Ultra, £100 on the 512GB Galaxy S23 Plus, and £50 on the 512GB Galaxy S23. Here’s a good contract deal on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus at Three. O2 is offering the S23 Ultra with 150GB of data for £64.86 per month after a £30 upfront fee. All three phones are more expensive than their S22 counterparts, owing to increased production costs and the pressures of global inflation. Both of the smaller phones drop the corner bump in favour of three-ringed lenses, giving the rear of the phone a less cluttered appearance and bringing them in line with the design of the Ultra.
