Forensic diver reveals 'worst mistake' police made in Nicola Bulley ... (The Independent)

Police say they are keeping an 'open mind' but still believe missing mother is in the river.

At approximately 8.47 a dog-walker – somebody who knows Ms Bulleuy– saw her walking around the lower field with her dog. And the fact that nothing’s been seen or heard, I just truly believe that it’s something in the village,” he said. Ms Bulley is 5ft 3ins tall, with light brown shoulder-length hair and speaks with an Essex accent. “I think the worst mistake the police have made was to declare early on that she’s in the river rather than saying ‘let’s keep lines of inquiry open’” he said. Ms Bulley, a mortgage advisor, left her home at around 8.26am on the morning she vanished. Her mobile phone and springer spaniel, Willow, were found near a bench in the field. Some 10 minutes later the Teams called ended but Ms Bulley stayed logged on. We are reviewing our decisions regularly.” I want it all scrutinised, every piece of it. I want it all searched. “My plea now is personally, I want every house, every garage, every out building, the land scrutinised. “This is a lady who knew this area intimately, she was slim and fit, and if she had fallen she could have grabbed on to the bank.”

Nicola Bulley search updates as partner says he will never give up ... (Yorkshire Live)

The latest updates in the search for Nicola Bulley who went missing on January 27 after taking her dog for a walk near the river in St Michael's on Wyre.

Speaking to Channel 5's Dan Walker, Nicola's partner Paul Ansell said: "For me and this is my personal opinion, I am 100% she is not in the river. Ms Bulley vanished while walking her springer spaniel dog Willow alongside the River Wyre in St Michael’s on Wyre on January 27. Nicola was walking Willow on a footpath near the River Wyre in St Michael's, Lancashire, at the time she went missing. Willow had been found, 'bone dry', running between the bench and a gate to a nearby field despite the working theory that Nicola fell into the river. The most obvious thing, of course has always been the river. “There is also a huge amount of commentary from so-called experts and conspiracy theories which are damaging to the investigation and, worst of all, to Nicola’s family. On Friday, Lancashire Police appeared to call out social media sleuths for their “hurtful abuse of innocent people” in relation to the case. The 45-year-old went missing more than two weeks ago while walking her dog Willow, a springer spaniel, beside the river in St Michael’s on Wyre, Lancashire. Paul explained that he and Nicola had been walking the path she disappeared from since they met 12 years ago. Whatever has happened, in my eyes, has to be somebody who knows the local area.

I got in the car, drove down there, ran down the river to where the bench is… However, despite extensive investigations, she has still not been found.
