Won a few duels and had a scissor kick go wide of the post in the first half. Did better than his strike partner in holding up the ball and linking up play. Callum Robinson (Etete 73) 8 - Flicked a clever ball in for Wickham with his first touch. Another impressive showing from the striker. Rushed and harried Blues defenders and found himself wide right at times, whipping in crosses. Up against the formidable Lukas Jutkiewicz and gave as good as he got. Much like Romeo, added to City's attack and stuck to his task well in defence. Very good at both ends of the pitch. Can't say he did a whole lot wrong, either. Smashed in that stunning free-kick. Had one shot cleared in the first half. Looks comfortable in that right centre-half role.

Birmingham City player ratings vs Cardiff: Dean back but Blues ... (Birmingham Live)

Late goals from Perry Ng and Callum Robinson saw the Bluebirds win for the first time under Sabri Lamouchi and disabuse any Blues fan of the notion they would ...

Had to be sharp at his near post to deny Wickham with a quarter of an hour to go. Read the game well although it was his foul that gave Cardiff their decisive free kick. Dean upended a surging run by Callum O'Dowda on the corner of the area, affording Ng a favourable angle. Then the striker was picked out with a flat free kick and volleyed over when unmarked. Not tested in the first half other than one weak deflected shot. Harlee Dean returned to the team for the first time in four months โ€“ and looked solid and powerful alongside Dion Sanderson. The second half wasn't much more entertaining. Looked drained by his exertions against Albion, he struggled to get away from defenders and on a difficult pitch his use of the ball was sub-par. Won most of his duels but never had the opportunity to be a force from set-pieces. A strong return to the first team, all powerful in the air. Robinson made the game safe with almost the last kick of the game when he weaved in from the right and buried a rising shot high into the net. Sory Kaba then had a couple of attempts on goal, first managing to juggle the ball in the area before an overhead kick nipped just wide of the post.

โ€œItโ€™s a tough challenge, but we have the quality to do it. Scott Hogan and the in-form Lukas Jutkiewicz start up front, with Troy Deeney on the bench. It flicked off the Blues man and through to Ruddy. Cardiff look dourness made flesh too, this one's going to be a cold Tuesday night in Birmingham. Cardiff in pink shirts and black shorts. Sawyers given time on near the right touchline to send over a cross, Sory Kaba manages to juggle it with his back to goal and his overhead kick nips just wide of the post. Cardiff, by contrast, are one place and only goal difference above the drop zone and arrive in the Midlands on their third manager of the season. The delivery of which is poor beyond words. John Eustace's men have continued about their rollercoaster season and are on the relative high of two successive wins. Not even a half chance really. A rare bit of flair although not one that exercised the goalkeeper. A shot on target.
