Prime Hydration energy drinks, created by YouTubers KSI & Logan Paul, hit shelves at Sainsbury's and fans have rushed to buy the bottles.
There is even a Prime tracker app and Twitter page, which has the sole purpose of reporting where the drink is available to buy. The YouTuber used the app to see where he could buy his own product in London, but he could not find any stock in the capital. People who manage to buy the bottles usually post about their success, creating a never-ending cycle of free advertising. Prime fanatics rose at the crack of dawn to be the first to buy the viral ‘hydration’ drinks today. Sainsbury’s also confirmed to Metro.co.uk it has enforced a strict limit of three bottles of Prime per customer.
KSI Limited Edition Orange & Mango will only be available in the UK for a short amount of time.
They tasted too much like your standard energy drink packed with flavourings and this is very much more of the same. Prime have done a lot to distance themselves from being classed as an energy drink, but their cause would be helped if they didn't wear their influences on their sleeves. Created by YouTubers Logan Paul and KSI back in 2022, the drink took Britain by storm when it came to our shores. The new flavour will set shoppers back £2.50. So once we allocate it to retailers, that’s it. We won’t be making anymore.”
There wasn't a rush in Sheffield for the new orange and mango flavour of the viral drink sensation which has been selling in Sainsbury's today.
It all felt a bit rebellious though (very tame by most standards I know) and part of that was glugging on a bright blue drink that would have made my mum wince. Prime is Beanie Babies, it's Pet Rocks, it's Furbys, it's Turkey Dinosaurs, it's those pink chewing gums with tattoos in the wrapper and every other trend you've ever been sucked into. Well, first impressions in Sheffield this morning were that people in Yorkshire don't appear to be overwhelmed by the desire to head out and pick up a bottle of the limited edition Prime. Me and two friends decided to head out on an expedition across a few fields to the next village over in South Yorkshire. Now if you've not come across Powerade before, it is a luminous drink made by the Coca-Cola company that comes in a variety of sweet flavours labelled as an isotonic sports drink. This must come with a disclaimer that I have not tried the other flavours of Prime and have had no desire to do so. In our day there was Powerade, these days the kids have Prime. Grown adults have bought into it as I'm sure a few did with other trends too but maybe not to such a visible extent. The limited edition orange and mango flavour, only available in the UK, is on sale at Sainsbury's stores for £2.50, while the rest of the flavours are being sold for £2. [Sainsbury's ](https://www.examinerlive.co.uk/all-about/sainsburys)has become the third big supermarket chain to stock the drinks following in the footsteps of Asda, Aldi, and Morrisons. The new 'UK exclusive' KSI orange mango Prime Drink has landed at Sainsbury's stores across the Black Country, with some selling out in minutes.
At the time of writing I said no, but if I was able to purchase the drink at normal retail price, it would probably be worth it, and having bought the new orange mango flavour, I do actually think the drink is tasty beverage. I also did a taste test of the drinks at the beginning of the year, and to my surprise they actually taste good, but are they worth the crazy hype? Another staff member that didn't want to be named told the Express and Star: "It has been crazy seeing people queuing up in huge numbers.
